Longtime lurker and poster (under various nn) on Westminstenders and these threads.

I'm afraid the other thread op pissed me off a lot so here's another option for those of us that want one.

What is there to negotiate now? Brexit is done, sunny uplands are visible, immigration is sorted, trade deals appear to be with those countries furthest away from GB (despite climate change la la la), what are they nattering about with EU!

Someone needs to establish what exactly the Brexit Minister is negotiating with EU about. Anyone have any idea? NIP is going to survive despite a few grumbles from DUP aimed within earshot of their more rabid members. So what is left then?

Every single person who was fined for breaking lockdown should demand a refund for any monies paid. Especially the 23 year olds fined £10k for organising a snowball fight.

Let's hope that there can be another couple of by elections where Tory majorities of 20,000 go and bite the dust. It might concentrate their minds when they realise that they are supposed to be serving the people who elect them.

Of course, if Brexit is done, why do we need a "Brexit Minister" ? As no media pundits are asking

Brexit is no longer an act or a series of actions. It’s a state of mind and for this current lot of Tories, a permanent state of war against the EU and convenient state of mind. Think of the energy and identity that you can draw from being perpetually morally enraged against the sovereign-denying EU whilst never having to do any of the actual hard work of running a country. It’s the perfect ‘out’ for those crazy ERG types.

Otherwise how do you explain that Lord Frost is their hero fgs???

But you’re right DGR in that no journalist ever asks why we’re still talking about Brexit or refer back to that oven ready meal given it’s done and dusted. It’d be interesting to hear the question asked and answered.
