Talks between Frost and Barnier still unresolved issues. There are rumours but 'all without evidence' (the new in phrase on BBC news tonight) that the UK is waivering.

Less that two months to go.

And there is the small matter of what happens in the US than might influence events.

As you can see from this clip, Biden hates the UK.

The Conservatives had 4 years to do a trade deal with the USA and pro-UK President, and they failed.

There is no chance now.

I did think that Biden's response was eyebrow raising.

One of the things I've enjoyed about the coverage of "ROW" via the US news channels over that last few days (we have an Alexa box dh is really appreciating his Christmas present ) is that NS' comments,as "First Minister of Scotland", (more explicitly supportive of Biden) have been reported on an equal footing to the anodyne hedging his bets comments from BJ.

And as ds has pointed out: at least Biden understands that Scotland as well as Ireland is a distinct and separate country to England

Another MN thread was titled 'surely we can discuss the Biden creep', which made me curious.

But when I clicked on it, this is what came up: Thread deleted, Message from MNHQ: This is a TAAT so we've had to remove it.

What the heck is a TAAT??

TAAT is a thread about a thread.
There are several about Biden tonight, so I presume the deleted one was a reference to a thread that had also been deemed a bit contentious.
