This week has seen reports of the government editing footage of Johnson to avoid embarrassing questions about the early government response.

We've been asked to accept that the rules were different to what we were told to excuse the law breaking behaviour of a senior government advisor. As Johnson said he was being a responsible father (as if Johnson knows what this is) and it wasn't as if he was visiting a lover (this Johnson would know all about). Let's be honest Johnson is the master of brazening out controversy.

We also have the ERG complaining they were lied to by Gove about the new Withdrawal Agreement and the border in the Irish Sea which surprises precisely no one else.

They appear to be a little upset by the Cummings debarkable too.

So in the Liaison Committee there was only one DC question?
Johnson kept saying there were incorrect claims in the media over the weekend, but I think people are angry about the undeniable content of DC's statement on Monday.

They're trying to brush it under the carpet.

Did you see this shocking video clip of Gove yesterday? Rude and inexcusable. Or is he losing it?

You're not being dense.
It's not going to work if they exclude teachers.

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 27/05/2020 18:03

Well I hope there were people watching that who didn't know what they must know now about the slippery shit.

And must say I've net seen this Darren Jones before. One to watch.

Now over to Baroness (effing) Dido(!) Harding, University chum of Cameron's whose made zillions out of Tory cronyism.

pussycatinboots · 27/05/2020 18:04

Dido "Talk-Talk" Harding?
well, that's a safe pair of hands...

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 27/05/2020 18:08

Dido "Talk-Talk" Harding?

Sadly not the 80s electronic indie outfit, nor the asthmatc sounding occasional Faithless collaborator.

pussycatinboots · 27/05/2020 18:10

Mockers😂

At least we have Jean-Claude Van Damme today!

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 27/05/2020 18:10

PS:

Aren't Track and Trace two of Sarah Palin's kids?

pussycatinboots · 27/05/2020 18:12

or Boris?

ListeningQuietly · 27/05/2020 18:15

I drove past the big drive through testing site on my way home from work as usual
Not one single punter there.

It has space to cope with queues of over 200 cars
its within a 40 minute drive of about a million people
and I have never EVER seen more than ten cars there

Deloittes are getting paid for this
Test Track Trace IS AN UTTER LIE
If the testing was really ramping up
I WOULD SEE IT AT THAT CENTRE

dontcallmelen · 27/05/2020 18:16

Yy Darren Jones he was concise & pissed off in equal measures I think.

LouiseCollins28 · 27/05/2020 18:16

Not sure that murder is a helpful comparison.

OldLace · 27/05/2020 18:16

@pussycatinboots
thanks!
but its patent fucking nonsense!
how can they say the IOW track and trace app is the 'cherry on the cake, not the actual cake'? what was wrong with it? didnt it work?
I dont understand? (waaaaah!, sorry!)

prettybird · 27/05/2020 18:17

Just when you thought bits of the BBC was worth watching again....Hmm

Newsnight 'breached impartiality guidelines' with Dominic Cummings remarks https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-52824508

OhLookHeKickedTheBall · 27/05/2020 18:25

Did Hancock say that if you got a call you should isolate but the rest of your family can go about their business as normal?

catdoctor · 27/05/2020 18:28

Well I’ve had a pleasant surprise; my normally sycophantic MP Jeremy Wright has decided Cummings needs to go.
He normally follows the party line very closely.

LouiseCollins28 · 27/05/2020 18:29

Jones is a young MP it would seem. He was pretty rude I thought.

Peregrina · 27/05/2020 18:32

You then go onto the website and give details of people you know that you have been in contact with for more than 15mins over the last week.

You could have fun with this. I was in Durham and was in contact with Dominic Cummings, Mary Wakefield... I don't think I saw anyone else.

But joking aside, they have completely blunted the message that the virus is still dangerous, and that a proper testing, tracing and isolating procedure would have been the correct thing to do three months ago.

Jason118 · 27/05/2020 18:33

I should imagine it's difficult not to be a bit rude when you're asking questions to a man who lies for a living.

pussycatinboots · 27/05/2020 18:35

OhLook
Yes he did.

DGRossetti · 27/05/2020 18:39

@LouiseCollins28

Not sure that murder is a helpful comparison.
depends on how culpable you think the current government are in the deaths of vulnerable people, really.
HesterThrale · 27/05/2020 18:40

So 412 deaths announced today. It's obviously higher than yesterday as they catch up from the BH weekend, but also the 7-day rolling average of hospital deaths hasn't gone down. A little worrying.

And 117,000 tests in a day. Didn't BJ pledge there'd be 200,000 a day by the end of May?

LouiseCollins28 · 27/05/2020 18:41

That’s the skill though isn’t it. Not being rude in that situation
