I find it really completely impossible to see what anyone could possibly admire in Johnson.

Is it his looks? his reliablity? his trustworthiness? the fact that he's apparently not guilty of domestic abuse? the fact that he is not racist or homophobic (because it's all just irony innit)? he's got a rescue dog?

He was adopted by a couple of lefty losers who gave him all the love, care and financial support needed that enabled him to succeed in life and go to University. So he was not 'self-made'. He is bloody awful but nowhere near as horrible as Johnson

Next comes the part where Arse tells us all about her glittering Oxbridge record and high-powered career at the top of the UK Government. Or not, as the case may be!

The point is the majority of the electorate, indisputably, decided he was the best on offer. So it's fair to assume they didn't focus on his much hyped negatives. I certainly didn't, I thought it was relatively trivial criticism compared to the political leanings of JC. There are people (most?) who will overlook womanising etc. because of his potential for positives - ability to manage people, get everyone working together, he's too confident to feel threatened by hiring very bright people and allowing them to excel at their jobs without continually interfering. He has access to the best depth of talent from which to pull together a cabinet. He sounds dithery but in fact will make decisions quickly and demonstrate belief in them which is a large part of pulling people with you. He generates enthusiasm. He does have natural leadership skill whether you like him or not.
So swear into the internet all you like if it makes you feel better but just as it didn't move the dial over the past three years, it's unlikely to help in future either.
