Yes these are British kids. There's an interim arrangement but won't apply to younger children. They will have to pay full international fees.

Probably yes but many British families in Europe continue to have strong attachments to their country of citizenship and want their British children to have an attachment to it, too.

I don't feel that way personally, but then my kids have the massive advantage of an EU citizenship.

Does your concern about the fees British kids have to pay at University extend to Scotland where English kids have to pay more than Scottish or EU kids (including NI) because they are born in England. My English born nephew of two Scottish born parents had to pay more than his Scottish born peers of English parents.

Labour voters need to look at the core issues and the reasons the Tories won and then see how they can move Labour to the centre ground to have a chance of winning in 2024. There is not much point in either side getting themselves scared about anything. The Tories won as they have moved to the centre with high spending and fairly high taxes. Labour lost because they shifted far left.

Promises of high spending. We will see how much actually gets spent over the next few years. I am not holding my breath.

Not sure about fairly high taxes - I thought it was business as usual on that front - tax cuts for the wealthy.

Odd how people can see things so differently.

I really don't see how policies that gain endorsements from Tommy Robinson and electoral cooperation with the DUP and Farage can be seen as centrist?

John Major (and all the moderates who were jettisoned) clearly see it as far right too.

The Tories who are driving the agenda now have a partially revealed Pandora’s Box of unpleasant right-wing attitudes.Examples range from suspending parliament and wanting to rebalance it to be subservient to the executive to an intention to reduce workers’ rights.

The JRM and IDS lot have always been intent on reducing our employee and workers’ rights that aren't particularly generous anyway. Stuff will go like working hours, equal treatment for agency workers, regular overtime etc being included holiday pay. Hence the attempt to suffocate tribunal claims by making costs prohibitive.

•	Priti Patel regularly mentions the burden of employers having rights and wants to halve them.
•	Liam Fox said workplace rights were unsustainable.
•	Boris Johnson certainly showed dislike of the EU basic minimum workers standards and wanted to scrap the social chapter.

These are just examples. I don’t see how the whole Tory shift to the new ideology can be seen as centrist. I really don’t.

I guess it’s all subjective.

Haven't read all the thread but no, YANBU. He is a total arse and I fear for the future. NHS is screwed, education system is falling apart and don't get me started on Brexit. Fuck off is too polite IMO.
