The Brexit Party aren't doing one.

The Labour Party apparently can't afford theirs.

The Conservatives will just lie anyway.

And the LDs got upstaged by Prince Andrew's resignation from royal duties for being a fuckwit.

3 weeks to go...

Johnson got battered there. Best bit of tele for ages.

Apileofballyhoo · 22/11/2019 21:09

Sunglasses, other countries in Europe pay higher taxes and put more money into services for their citizens and they aren't Marxist ideologies.

thecatfromjapan · 22/11/2019 21:10

Johnson appeals to ageing men who have a misogynistic streak - a streak based in fear of loss of virility and fear of age. (All that abandoning women and children.)

I wonder how watching him deflate before their eyes is going to work?

ListeningQuietly · 22/11/2019 21:10

I'm also cross that people were not made to pre write their questions

50 words of precision beats the shit out of 150 words of waffle

sad that more professional bodies do not teach their people how to ask questions
(yes Medics I mean you)

Jux · 22/11/2019 21:14

BJ on speed? Coke more lke.

No, he's not up to the job. Watch the debate between Tony Benn and Roy Jenkins from the 70s to see how it should be done. It's on youtube.

TokyoSushi · 22/11/2019 21:22

I'd agree @Jux

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 22/11/2019 21:25

Awesome réception for Jeremy Corbyn in Sheffield

The under 25s need to vote.

Piggywaspushed · 22/11/2019 21:33

Think Swinson might lose her constituency after her answer on nuclear weapons.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 22/11/2019 21:38

BigChocFrenzy · 22/11/2019 21:43

BJ claims his racist "jokes" are "free speech" Angry

Paul Johnson@paul__johnson

Q: 'Racist rhertoric is rife in this country. You have contributed to it. Will you say sorry?'

Fiona Bruce: you wrote...women dressed as letter boxes, tank topped bum boys..

A: 'I defend my right to speak out'
Boris Johnson

So no sorry then#BBCQuestionTime

BigChocFrenzy · 22/11/2019 21:47

Interesting:

Nicholas Watt@nicholaswatt

Nicola Sturgeon suggests that if SNP had an arrangement with a Jeremy Corbyn govt, her party would not vote on Westminster matters that don’t relate to Scotland like NHS.

So Corbyn could then only have votes for UK wide matters

BoreOfWhabylon · 22/11/2019 21:59

Somerville and Jux Flowers Flowers

I've been a nurse for more than 40 years (I'll be retiring soon). I'm in despair at what has been done to the NHS.

thecatfromjapan · 22/11/2019 21:59

That was truly grim, BigChoc. And completely the 'alt right' defence.

I think his team went through that answer with him.

I'm not sure it landed the way they hoped.

His 'defence' of standing up for women's rights probably put off some of his core (anti-feminist) Vote.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 22/11/2019 21:59

Free full-fibre broadband, paid for by taking ALL YOUR CLOTHES Crofters on the Isle of Skye will be able to stream the new Coldplay album, watch Netflix and masturbate to high-definition pornography. But you? Shivering in a corner and going to the office in thin coverings you’ve fashioned yourself from staples and bin bags.

born I'm dying here Grin Grin

thecatfromjapan · 22/11/2019 22:03

In other news, what do we all make of Johnson's increasing modelling of the 'haunted, hunted and haggard' look?

Some say coke, some say the experience of actual work, others suggest the existential terror of a reckoning faced.

Myself, I think it's because he knows his backers expect delivery of what they've paid for - and he's terrified.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 22/11/2019 22:05

Myself, I think it's because he knows his backers expect delivery of what they've paid for - and he's terrified.

With more performances like tonight I'm sure theyre now wondering if it was money well spent, if the polls dont change much after tonight that must be a bit suspect right?

mrslaughan · 22/11/2019 22:11

@thecatfromjapan
And any intelligent women m ones he does not give a flying fuck about women's rights

thecatfromjapan · 22/11/2019 22:11

Hoo, I hope things work out for you. ❤️🍀

thecatfromjapan · 22/11/2019 22:14

It was an odd answer, wasn't it, mrslaughan? But I guess the best he could do, given the circumstances.

He really is a dreadful person.

It's such a depressing state of affairs. ☹️

DGRossetti · 22/11/2019 22:15

Why did anyone watch ? Just read the pre-debate YouGov verdict, and save an hour of your life.

thecatfromjapan · 22/11/2019 22:16

Honestly, I just compare him with Ken Clarke, Dominic Grieve or evening Rory Stewart - none of whom I agree with in many political issues - and I'm shocked, all over again, that this is where we've come to.

DGRossetti · 22/11/2019 22:17

Not sure if it was a "joke" but David Mitchell said the BBC had pulled the rest of WILTY till next year because of the election.

Now I am beyond grumpy.

DGRossetti · 22/11/2019 22:20

And from memory, Michael Foot was referring to ISDN or possibly PSTN/X25 cabling of the UK in 1983. The GPO/BT had begun but it was patchwork (and of course in 1983, BT was being turned into a private company with no great appetite for big infrastructure projects).

My final year project was an X25 protocol analyser running on a Z80 - I wrote the OS myself.
