Just that really! The General Election is on, either 11th Dec or a few days before but it's going to happen now that Labour have agreed. Tactical voting websites are being prepared as we speak.

If you are a remainer, who will you vote for?

(And if any leavers lurk here, will you vote for Tories or Brexit party?)

I have just skim-read Migrationwatch and I have never read such a load of self-serving, fake academic hogwash in my entire life. One of its arguments against immigration is that the Roman invasion didn't really add immigrants to Britain. Obviously it has no access to the detailed genetic testing and records of who was having sex with whom they were doing at that time .

As for voting: I don't know. My area is Labour through and through, so it doesn't really matter, although I haven't voted for them since Corbyn hove into view. Maybe Lib Dem. Maybe Green. But I really just want a vote on Brexit.

I'm proud to live in a multi-cultural area. Over 70% of the kids at ds' (excellent) old primary school speak English as an Additional Language (mostly Urdu but lots of other languages too). His (excellent) state secondary school has pupils who speak 55 different languages. Brilliant.

I have no desire to live in a country with a Little Britain mentality. Little Englanders epitomise everything about why Scotland wants (and will achieve ) its independence.

Immigration has happens in waves for generations. Parts of London historically 'changed there identity' constantly. The East end of London is a case in point. There were a Huguenot community then I think a Jewish community, post WW11 a Pakistani community and so on. To base your judgement on the idea that England has 'changed' or your part of London has changed is just daft!!

The economy was in a mess because of the global situation, not because of Labour. And the Tories have actually increased the national debt. Especially after spending millions on a pointless ad campaign about leaving the EU today.

I'm fed up hearing Labour supporters preach about Tory austerity causing misery. The last Labour government destroyed pensions, entered a war with no justification, led the UK into recession, created the massive budget deficit which needed austerity to rectify and more. Labour would be a disaster for everybody and the legacy of their government would take years to fix. What do you think the Government of the day should have done to restore the economy after the GFC? The rhetoric is all so blinkered.
