GE is on! Remainers how will you vote?

Just that really! The General Election is on, either 11th Dec or a few days before but it's going to happen now that Labour have agreed. Tactical voting websites are being prepared as we speak.

If you are a remainer, who will you vote for?

(And if any leavers lurk here, will you vote for Tories or Brexit party?)

It's that kind of attitude which got us into this Brexit mess in the first place i totaĺly agree.

newdawntoday · 30/10/2019 16:36

Remainer and usually vote Conservative. Struggling to decide but likely Lib Dem. Although think now we've got to close to a deal, their plan could be dangerously divisive for the country, even though it's what I want. Oh God I don't know.

Benjispruce · 30/10/2019 17:52

With you @Trewser

Lonelycrab · 30/10/2019 18:12

Im in a constituency where the conservatives won by four times the votes of then nearest (lab) rival. Ld did slightly worse than labour.

So it seems my vote will be pretty pointless tbh. Will vote ld and I’m a remainer.

TatianaLarina · 30/10/2019 18:23

It is very important to me, my dds and my gds.

If women’s rights were truly important to you you wouldn’t even be considering voting Tory, and you certainly wouldn’t have missed Tory misogyny.

Doubletrouble99 · 30/10/2019 18:34

That'll be the Tories who appointed 2 female PM's then Tatiana!

FadingStar · 30/10/2019 18:36

And look how they treated them!

TatianaLarina · 30/10/2019 18:37

That'll be the Tories who appointed 2 female PM's then Tatiana!

That blinds you to misogyny in the party does it?

And to the devastating impact austerity had on women in particular?

TatianaLarina · 30/10/2019 18:39

And look how they treated them!

Calm down dear Wink

KissCurls · 30/10/2019 18:41

@TatianaLarina It seems to me that all parties are riddled with misogyny - that's what underpins self id after all :-(

Trewser · 30/10/2019 18:44

If women’s rights were truly important to you you wouldn’t even be considering voting Tory

That is one to add to the list of truly batshit MN tropes.

TatianaLarina · 30/10/2019 18:46

It’s not us Trewser it’s you.

Parsimon · 30/10/2019 18:48

Libdem

Mellowsedge · 30/10/2019 18:57

I want to vote 'For Britain' or any party that doesn't promote mass immigration

Peggywoolley · 30/10/2019 19:02

Labour or Lib Dem. Probably Lib Dem - I live in a Tory voter area so my MP could probably only be ousted by a Lib Dem one.

Though that said, I don’t actually mind the Tory MP.

Doubletrouble99 · 30/10/2019 19:05

I do find it ironic when people like Titania quote Cameron and his 'calm down dear' comment when you have labour Jewish MPs complaining about the way they are being treated within their party, some even leaving.
All parties have their problems.

GreyGardens88 · 30/10/2019 19:07

Anyone that votes for BoJo and his crooked government is either stupid or morally bankrupt.

Marchitectmummy · 30/10/2019 19:13

Remainder and don't know yet, am against many of Corbin / McDonalds policy proposals so won't be labour possibly lib dem

Limitedsimba123 · 30/10/2019 19:14

I’m confused, are tories against self-ID then? I thought TM when PM had reiterated several times she wanted to improve trans rights by allowing self ID? Not saying I agree btw.

I suppose it all comes down to what is the most important issue for you. As an ex lawyer, Tory rumblings re appointing Judges to the Supreme Court and destroying our checks and balances system is my red line.

Horehound · 30/10/2019 19:15

SNP

Limitedsimba123 · 30/10/2019 19:17

Also the underfunding of the criminal justice system - there’s no point recruiting those extra police officers if you can’t actually prosecute the criminals.

FadingStar · 30/10/2019 19:18

Weren't the Tories the geniuses who started the whole Self ID shite?

prettybird · 30/10/2019 19:19

The Tories are indeed pro self-ID but somehow all the opprobrium has been shifted on to the Opposition Parties and their own policy ignored. Confused

Trans rights are important but not at the expense of sex-based (where appropriate) services and safety. Sad

KissCurls · 30/10/2019 19:22

Well said @prettybird

CatherineCawood · 30/10/2019 19:24

I live in the safest green seat in the UK so it's easy for me. If I lived elsewhere I would probably vote labour. LD lost credibility when they entered the coalition.
