Quite coincidentally I too have been in negotiations today regarding the pubs licence and it's good news here as well, a deal has been agreed!!

There were no amendments or legal objections put forward so a shiny new licence has been issued and normal service can be resumed

Same rules apply.

Now let's hope Saturday's proceedings can go ahead without the usual dicking around and that what has been nigh on impossible during the last 3 years, a majority, can be achieved otherwise I feel we are off to hell in a handcart!

I sincerely hope you're right. I think Boris will have factored something like this in.

I did read somewhere (twitter possibly) that the EU may not make a decision on the extension until the 31st,putting pressure on parliament to get the deal through. I have no idea if there's any truth to that.

After all, didn't most MP's say they respected the result of the Ref, they just didn't want no deal?

As we're getting onto pub bantz now. If we remain in the EU I fully support the assession(?)/inclusion of Albania and North Macedonia. I've been to Albania several times and they are truly lovely people, all this Albanian mafia stuff does not represent them at all. Whilst it may exist, it doesn't define them, just like the Italian Mafia doesn't define the vast majority of Italians either.

Sunny I agree with you, I do see most people as 'nice' and always look beyond nationality, gender, religion etc whenever I get to 'know' someone.

I was just mentioning Albania and North Macedonia as a distraction, in an humorous way, just for sayin it. I did mean it about Albania btw, given their 'unique' modern history, the people there have come through it remarkably well. It really is a rather remarkable place in many ways - they have an 'attitude' towards the free practice of religion, whilst remaining largely agnostic, that I really appreciate.

I just talked to PM @BorisJohnson about the situation after the vote in the House of Commons.

So MPs have blocked no deal and blocked a deal. Parliament is really messing the EU around. Like I said yesterday, it will be interesting if the EU refuse an extension because a no deal will become the fault of remainers.

I am really hoping that happens. Come on Macron, veto.

About time some of the public woke up and realised that no deal is still on the table.

The EU said it would only allow extension for GE or referendum. Neither is on the table so an extension should be refused, according to their own rules.

Remainer no deal coming...
