Quite coincidentally I too have been in negotiations today regarding the pubs licence and it's good news here as well, a deal has been agreed!!

There were no amendments or legal objections put forward so a shiny new licence has been issued and normal service can be resumed Smile

Same rules apply.

Now let's hope Saturday's proceedings can go ahead without the usual dicking around and that what has been nigh on impossible during the last 3 years, a majority, can be achieved otherwise I feel we are off to hell in a handcart!

First drink is on the house 🍻🍷🍻🍷Cheers

Your. Man. Has. Alienated. Everyone. What.Do. You. Expect.?Grin

DustyDiamond · 19/10/2019 16:49

You've told me you're a woman before, Dusty, but you don't half come across as male! It's bizarre.

As you've said before you believe in lady-brain & male-brain

Just because I don't fit your narrow perception of 'how a woman must think or act' does not make me any less female 🤷🏻‍♀️

DustyDiamond · 19/10/2019 16:50

Your. Man. Has. Alienated. Everyone. What.Do. You. Expect.? Grin

No. Arguments. From. Me, On. That. Point. Bellini.

😂

Also from her twitter:

Labour MPs have secured legally binding protection on workers’ rights, environmental standards & consumer protection & a parliamentary lock on deciding our future partnership. Plus improving unfair dismissal protections & tackling TUPE anomalies.

Legally binding she says, except they are not and she knows full well they are not. So once again lying to the public, where is the accountability? IMO wilfully misleading the public should amount to misconduct in public office.

NoWordForFluffy · 19/10/2019 16:53

It's your misogynistic tone, Dusty. Not many women come across as misogynistic.

And this isn't linked to Benn. It's linked to not trusting BoZo. If he could be trusted, the deal would've likely passed. So, I'm afraid you linking it to Benn just isn't right.

DustyDiamond · 19/10/2019 16:56

It's your misogynistic tone, Dusty. Not many women come across as misogynistic.

Confused

'Misogynistic tone'?

Where on earth have I been misogynistic?!

Probs best you go & tone-police another woman who might actually give a shit what your opinion of her is.

NoWordForFluffy · 19/10/2019 16:57

I don't care if you give a shit! As if I'd care about what an online random thought about my opinion of them. It's you who needs to get over yourself! Grin

HateIsNotGood · 19/10/2019 17:04

Fluffy - not sure why you think Dusty is a 'misogynist' and If she says she's female, then she's female, fgs.

Anyway, time for a post-match drink, I'll have a pint of best and a packet of Twiglets please.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 19/10/2019 17:06

The ERG were explicit that they would support the deal right through until passed entirely providing it was not amended.

But, in reality, why would the Letwin amendment have made any difference to the ERG voting for the deal? The Benn Act asks for an extension but there’s no obligation to stay in until that date if the relevant legislation has been passed in the UK and EU. I don’t think Letwin changes that we could still be out on 31st Oct with Letwin.

I understand why the ERG wouldn’t vote for I if there was a 2nd/confirmatory ref attached to it but to refuse to vote because of Letwin makes little sense if they want to leave with a deal.

DustyDiamond · 19/10/2019 17:10

If there's no changes then they'll still vote for it presumably, but an extension opens the way for 2nd ref or blocking Brexit entirely - that's why the anti-brexit MPs were so overjoyed about it passing

There's a pic of Caroline Lucas & Layla Moran gloating about it

HateIsNotGood · 19/10/2019 17:11

I agree Rafal but the unfortunate side effect of Letwin's amendment is that the expedient progression of the Exit legislation can be held up at any point by proposed amendments. These amendments which can be motivated by a number of reasons, including those MPs who have no other desire than to try and 'block' Brexit by whatever means they can.

howabout · 19/10/2019 17:12

Rafals Letwin is only the device to get the extension to prevent No Deal in order to tack on the amendments to either wreck the Deal by adding caveats either EU or Govt will / can never agree or make it subject to a 2nd Ref which amounts to same thing.

Just like the Benn Act.

Sunnyuplands · 19/10/2019 17:14

' Tone Police' 😂 😂

HateIsNotGood · 19/10/2019 17:14

My forecast is that if it's anyone that calls a VONC it will be the SNP and bloody good luck them too.

DustyDiamond · 19/10/2019 17:15

Here they are.

Brexit Arms pop up pops up again!
Sunnyuplands · 19/10/2019 17:17

Shocking dusty Shock what a horrific picture.

howabout · 19/10/2019 17:18

If I were SNP I would table VoNC. No excuse for LibDems and Labour now as they have the votes with DUP support.

DUP gambling on holding their vote due to standing up for NI and massive Tory majority which means whatever Brexit we end up with is no longer their fault.

SNP can bash LibDems for blocking Left wing coalition and Labour for 3 years of vacillation on Brexit and Indy.

HateIsNotGood · 19/10/2019 17:20

Yes - and dear Layla might be up for a bit of a reprimand having taken a picture of MPs voting in the 'sanctum'. She needs to rein it in a bit.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 19/10/2019 17:35

True Hate, but I’m not sure that voting the deal down does much for the expedient progression of legislation, side effects or no side effects.

Given the numbers aren’t there without ERG doesn’t that just put the ball firmly back in the EU’s court regarding the exit date?

HateIsNotGood · 19/10/2019 17:53

I would agree with you Rafal about the importance of what the EU does in response to the Extension request. I'm hoping Macron says "Non" - you 'rostbifs' have had long enough. I'd be livid if I was EU27 right now.

BJ did look quite unfazed by the Letwin result, so maybe he has already found an EU Veto to any requested extension.

LouiseCollins28 · 19/10/2019 17:59

I don’t imagine they will turn down an extension request. Right now it would be helpful to getting a deal passed if they did, but I don’t expect they’ll see it like that.

DustyDiamond · 19/10/2019 18:01

I hope they say 'ok, have 2 weeks. If you can't sort it out by mid Nov you can fuck off'

time4chocolate · 19/10/2019 18:04

I would like to think that Boris already knows what the EUs next hand will be so he is quite content to let the remain MPs have their 5 mins of congratulatory back slapping first.

HateIsNotGood · 19/10/2019 18:08

Yep Dusty - a drink for that Lady with the man-brain. I'm hoping that some of the Continental emotions that we all love come into play. I've always been a bit jealous of their farmers going out and blocking things with tractors.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 19/10/2019 18:11

I doubt it’ll be 2 weeks. I think the earliest date that the EU can not ratify withdrawal legislation on their side is the end of November. Unlikely any proposed extension date will be before then.
