The head tilt reminds me of this which was a mic 🎀drop moment :
www.lbc.co.uk/hot-topics/brexit/andrew-castle-remainer-patronising-populist-brexit/

Songsofexperience · 12/09/2019 19:15

Did you head-tilt as you wrote that?
It reads as though it comes with a patronising head tilt.

No.

jasjas1973 · 12/09/2019 19:18

Just because 17.4 million ticked a box doesn't mean it was right

Quite, majority of the German electorate voted in a way that led to WW2....were they right? should their vote have been overturned? because if it had been, approx 50m people wouldn't have died.

It shouldn't be forgotten that only 36% of the electorate voted for brexit and many did not vote to leave the EU but to change the way they were treated by successive Govt's.

Brexit is without doubt the biggest con played on the UK public.

DustyDiamond · 12/09/2019 19:20

πŸ˜‚ actual proper lol'd at that frumpety

Firecarrier - any leaver who dares to out themselves as such on MN must be prepared to put up with being regularly flagellated by pious EU lovers.
The MN version of clanging a bell & chanting 'shame', as they follow leavers across threads.

(Caveat: I am not implying that all MN remainers are like that)

Songsofexperience · 12/09/2019 19:27

So dusty, for you leaver= no deal fan? Cause all I'm saying is that no deal is shit.

The MN version of clanging a bell & chanting 'shame', as they follow leavers across threads.

For No Dealers my chant is more: you're a bunch of turkeys. Christmas is coming. Get stuffed.

DustyDiamond · 12/09/2019 19:28

Quite, majority of the German electorate voted in a way that led to WW2....were they right? should their vote have been overturned? because if it had been, approx 50m people wouldn't have died.

πŸ™„ "Leave voters are just like Hitler supporters"

To be fair, it's taken more posts than it usually does before someone trots out this tedious bollocks.
It usually happens much sooner on leavers' threads.

mummmy2017 · 12/09/2019 19:30

You know the person who stands at the side of a shopping center shouting the end of the world is coming and is really passionate about it. Only everyone walks by and ignored him... Here's a clue he isn't leave.

DustyDiamond · 12/09/2019 19:30

So dusty, for you leaver= no deal fan

Literally cannot think of a post on this thread where I have alluded to this as being my viewpoint.

Dusty, where exactly did i say that? no, i did not, nor did i imply it! iknow lots of leavers, inc my aunt who is a lovely person and not a Nazi or i dont think she is.... how do i tell?

You are just making stuff up.

I was answering the PP who said that the majority is right.

So, two things, the german population certainly wasn't right and neither did they realise the horror of who they were voting for.

DustyDiamond · 12/09/2019 20:18

You suggested there was a parallel between leave voters in EU ref & Hitler-supporting Germans in the 1930s.

jasjas1973 · 12/09/2019 20:39

No i didn't at all

Just because 17.4 million ticked a box doesn't mean it was right

I replied:

Quite, majority of the German electorate voted in a way that led to WW2....were they right?

Clearly providing evidence that the majority are not always right, could have used the example of the Zimbabweans voting in ZANU PF but no doubt you'd have said i was comparing Leave voters to blood thirsty Africans who want to kill their rivals and intent on destroying white farmers.

Septembersunrays · 12/09/2019 20:58

The mumsnet version of Bell clanking shame following from the thread to thread πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

Salem witch trials.

Yy mummy. And they seem to be able to Shout all day long and night.

Obsession!

Dusty. Don't despair.

howabout · 12/09/2019 21:44

obsession Now I understand my problem with them all. I am allergic to pongy smells. Hate when I get on the bus and am almost vomiting from the stench and have to put up with the vacuous disconnection caused by shouting all day long on their mobiles. I'd rather have the great unwashed. Grin

jasjas Boris already did offer to resign twice by triggering the FTPA votes. Cognitive dissonance personified. Shock

"A black swan is an unpredictable event that is beyond what is normally expected of a situation and has potentially severe consequences. Black swan events are characterized by their extreme rarity, their severe impact, and the practice of explaining widespread failure to predict them as simple folly in hindsight." Investopedia

Operation Yellowhammer is the Government response to prevent a Black Swan event if there is a No Deal Outcome.

Gove had a very funny tweet on Carole Codswallop's misunderstandings but google is refusing to find it for me. Sad
Good old Carole getting a bit of a pasting on her complete lack of understanding of data analytics in the twitter sphere today. If she is your primary source then I struggle to engage even in jest.

Auld you clearly feel the need to wave around your connections. I tend to take people more seriously when they stick to arguing the facts as opposed to referencing alleged connections I have no way of verifying.

WiseUpJanetWeiss · 12/09/2019 21:48

Do you not think the Government is not capable of getting your drugs?
Seems we might also sell be selling to the EU, so bet both side have some plans

and

Confussed about your statement SinisterBumFacedCat... Umm whom do you think gets your drugs now?
As the same people will still begetting them

Who do you think gets your drugs now, Mummmy ?

Why do you think we’ll be able to get them after Brexit? Do you know what an isotope is?

DorisDaysDadsDogsDead · 12/09/2019 22:36

"You know the person who stands at the side of a shopping center shouting the end of the world is coming and is really passionate about it. Only everyone walks by and ignored him... Here's a clue he isn't leave."

To be honest, he probably is. That level of cultish brainwashing is right down Leave Street...

AuldAlliance · 12/09/2019 22:57

howabout : the introductory FWIW in that post was a hint that what followed was neither presented as, nor to be taken as, fact.

HTH.

KennDodd · 12/09/2019 23:20

Clearly providing evidence that the majority are not always right,

How is that in any way controversial? The majority don't always get things right, of course they don't, how could anyone think they do.

mummmy2017 · 13/09/2019 02:07

Correct me if you want but ummm it is Remain who seem to be revolting over lawful votes not leave.
Using Money to buy the answer they want, and going back to someone else if they get told no.

bellinisurge · 13/09/2019 06:41

Do you want No Deal? @mummmy2017 do you want all the things that are set out as possible in the Yellowhammer document?

Triglesoffy · 13/09/2019 06:51

@mummmy2017 is like a little kid who has been told not to play on the electric lines. Don’t do it, we say. Can’t stop me, she says. It’s a bad idea, we say. Don’t tell me what to d⚑️⚑️⚑️⚑️⚑️⚑️

MysteryTripAgain · 13/09/2019 06:55

News is that DUP might be prepared to move on the NI only backstop.

So maybe the light at the end of the tunnel is approaching?

Parker231 · 13/09/2019 07:04

Mystery - where have you seen that? The BBC are reporting this morning that the DUP have rejected that and the report about it in The Times.

mummmy2017 · 13/09/2019 07:05

Yellowhammer was the worse case if nothing had been done or planed.
Yet you think it is a Bible of what will happen.
Please give your heads a wobble.
