No importer or exporter for that matter makes decisions on dailyFX swings, in fact despite an approx 20% drop in sterling (against a basket of currencies) since 2016, exports have no picked up at all.

We don't make much, therefore we have to import everything from bicycles to phones to PCs to cars and buses, not to mention food and med's

What growth? over the last Q it has stagnated. But once again, without services, we'd be in recession, so the collapse in the £ has made no difference to manufactured exports, as anyone knows (well, almost everyone lol)
