A few posters have been sharing their good deals (ha ha 😩) and bargains throughout other prepping threads so I thought a thread dedicated to this might be useful.

Here's my finds today 14/08/2019

Asda:

Aveeno hand cream £3.75
Energiser batteries 2 packs for £5.00
Andrew 16 quilted rolls £6.50

Gillette blue2 disposable razors 16 for £6.00

@BeanBag7 many thanks for the Asda tip off. I stocked up on Heinz beans/spaghetti and sausages for the faux Brexit but need to replenish stocks!

Pot noodles 50p in Asda

We embarrassingly walked out of asda with two trays (so 24) pot noddles yesterday! DH and DD do love them for a weekend lunch though. Thankfully DH is on board and didn't blink when I picked up 12 jars of coffee in b&m (£2.99 compared to asda £4.49).
B&M also had Princes chicken in white wine sauce for 89p rather than £1.79 in asda.

Morrisons was heaving with yellow stickers...but also great big patches of empty shelf.

Thanks for the tip about Tesco.

I've been to Lidl for the bog roll. A good buy.

Even if there's another Brexit Extension it'll keep. I'm really looking at long dates now. The thought of a crash out actually bloody happening on 31st Oct under a de facto dictatorship is so nuts I can't quite absorb it. But I keep prepping ...

I never forgave the Tories for Thatcher and the poll tax. My DC will never forgive them for this.

I may already have a stash of the salted caramel ones that I found on offer in a cheap bargain warehouse place! But it wouldn't hurt to stash for Christmas plus the new maple pecan ones look good!

If you are a smoothie fan, Tesco have a 5 pack of ripe bananas on special offer for 45p.
If you peel & chop the banana first it freezes very well for this purpose & you can just put it in the blender with the rest of your fruit (no need to defrost first) to make your smoothie.

How long is the Lidl loo roll offer on for?

I've just discovered this thread & went in search of maple & pecan matchmakers to add to this week's Tesco delivery but they don't have them. I'm actually considering touring all the Tesco shops I can find to get some. They sound amazing!

I'll also stop by B&M for some Comfort for my stash... There's no way matchmakers would even make it into the stash, let alone stay there!

I've rather let my stash diminish since the last time we were absolutely definitely brexiting so I've got to build it up again. This week's shop already costs about twice our usual weekly shop & I've not added anything to actually eat next week... Might have to split it into a couple of shops to soften the effect for DH...! It is all stuff we'll use eventually anyway...

I've decided I'm going to hold fire on buying anything else until after Monday, hopefully we will be in a position to see what way this could go!

@AGnu the maple and pecan matchmakers were by the door as I walked in to the store, fingers crossed you find some somewhere!
