Westminstenders: Brace Yourself It's Gonna BeBoris

It seems inconceivable that Hunt can beat Johnson. And whilst we are all considering the horrors that Prime Johnson can bring...

Let's not forget Brexit, whats Brexit?

Already there is talk that Boris has gone soft on 31st Oct as an absolute. But he's also promised the earth to the ERG.

So what suits Boris best?

What does his ego demand?

What does Boris want his legacy to be?

Our fate rests on Boris's whims and personal desires.

And if you are Scottish, Muslim or otherwise not rich, white and male you might have reason to be concerned.

It's not dull is it, politics?

I think BJ did Classics at Oxford

PestyMachtubernahme · 21/06/2019 22:26

Hunt allows MPs to do this to his wife.

They may have just bumped into reality and realised May's withdrawal Transition Deal is as good as it gets.

What if they both pull out, do we get to keep May?

Toby Young @toadmeister
Not long ago, members of the Left were concerned about the surveillance state. Now, they press their ears to the wall and turn on their tape recorders when they hear their Tory neighbours arguing and contact the @guardian. They’re a pound shop version of the Stasi.

Boj did Classics.

TatianaLarina · 21/06/2019 22:27

Snap tobee

ContinuityError · 21/06/2019 22:29

Thats all PPE is. Professional bullshitting.

Johnson didn’t study PPE.

His degree is in Classics (and it’s not a first either).

Iambuffy · 21/06/2019 22:30

He is perhaps pondering the fate of Catalina....another populist with a big mouth.

BigChocFrenzy · 21/06/2019 22:33

No, Cameron was worse
He just has that smarmy toff charm that gets him excused

Cameron chose to gamble on a referendum

  • the EU leaders told him how stupid this was, Cabinet ministers like Hammond probably did and senior civil servants too
Bullingdon Club shit - He was too arrogant to listen and too lazy to plan

Gambling the nation's future when he didn't need to is far more irresponsible than anything any past UK leader has done
-we could maybe go back to King Richard of England ordering the entire nation's wealth to pay the ransom after he was captured in the Crusades

She had conflicting advice on how to deal with a massive problem she inherited and chose the wrong set
She was under time pressure - Cameron wasn't
She worked very hard - he was a lazy git who never bothered to do the homework

She didn't realise that her previous Home Office experience of negotiating wouldn't work, because the EU deals with trade very differently to security.
Ivan Richards and others have explained why she thought this

tobee · 21/06/2019 22:33

Toby Young really is an utter cunt isn't he?

Outsomnia · 21/06/2019 22:35

Bearbehind,

We shall see in time if we are right on that.

Icantreachthepretzels · 21/06/2019 22:35

Hmm - seems to me Blobby might be hoping for an excuse to get out of the leadership election - or attempting to throw the vote. But then - all he wants is the PM job, and aspersions of DV definitely come under the heading of precluding him from all future attempts. Which makes me think this was just impulse control problems and not a cunning plan.
The 160 000 members don't care what he gets up to, they love him anyway (apart from the MN moles). If he wants to pull out and he doesn't find an excuse to, he will still win - no matter what. Which leads me to wonder what one earth he will get up to next in the hope that someone will disqualify him.

yolofish · 21/06/2019 22:35

Toby Young has always been a complete wanker. And there are some complete fucking wankers on that AIBU thread. And I really cba to give a 'citation' to some fucking wanker about Tory misogyny, or to argue the toss with the other fucking wankers about what does or doesnt constitute domestic violence, or the completely fucking wanky view of that fucking wanker Toby Young that recording your neighbours' very loud and violent argument constitutes a 'pound shop Stasi state'. I think I need to go to bed!

PestyMachtubernahme · 21/06/2019 22:36

Toby Young really is an utter cunt isn't he?
He has been practising for years tobee

tobee · 21/06/2019 22:36

Ooh I don't like Westminsterenders peeps arguing who is worse out of Cameron & May!! Everybody is, not surprisingly, stressed this Friday night! HmmThanksCakeGinBrewWine

tobee · 21/06/2019 22:36

Didn't mean Hmm

BigChocFrenzy · 21/06/2019 22:36

Toby Young fuming Grin

How dare the neigbours bother to get evidence !

If they hadn't, all the Brexiters would claim it was just lies

They look REALLY rattled

Any bets on if / what day BJ withdraws ?
< apologies for that image >

tobee · 21/06/2019 22:37

Damn. Was trying to be healing Grin

BigChocFrenzy · 21/06/2019 22:38

tobee I agree, let's agree to differ on who is worse,
in the certainty that worse is to come !

gutrotweins · 21/06/2019 22:39

DM comments saying that BJ neighbours are members of momentum. Is there truth in this?

BigChocFrenzy · 21/06/2019 22:39

Jess Phillipss@jessphillips*

I have just heard the Boris news, please please let's not make demands of Carrie Symonds,

please please don't harrass her or expect things from her.

I can't say more than that really, he owes an explanation as he wants to be PM she owes us nothing.

TatianaLarina · 21/06/2019 22:45

Cba BCF, your argument is really teenage.

He just has that smarmy toff charm that gets him excused

How is branding him a ‘disaster’ excusing him? Do you really believe that people judge May to have been even worse simply because Cameron’s a ‘smarmy toff’? Not on her own merits, or lack of them?

TatianaLarina · 21/06/2019 22:46

Honestly from your defence of May and obsession with the WA one would almost think you were a fan.

PestyMachtubernahme · 21/06/2019 22:50

Tatiana May's deal was realistic.
Nobody liked it, but it was realistic.

PestyMachtubernahme · 21/06/2019 22:54

And just to make sure that Mr (even I don't know how many kids I have) Johnson has an excuse to stand down www.itv.com/news/2019-06-21/conservative-muslim-chair-says-he-was-expelled-from-group-for-questioning-boris-johnsons-moral-fitness

Nobody wants to be the next PM, next but one is OK but not the next.

ElenadeClermont · 21/06/2019 22:54

I would not be surprised if the Goves were camping in the flat next to Boris for months now.
