Westminstenders: Brace Yourself It's Gonna BeBoris

It seems inconceivable that Hunt can beat Johnson. And whilst we are all considering the horrors that Prime Johnson can bring...

Let's not forget Brexit, whats Brexit?

Already there is talk that Boris has gone soft on 31st Oct as an absolute. But he's also promised the earth to the ERG.

So what suits Boris best?

What does his ego demand?

What does Boris want his legacy to be?

Our fate rests on Boris's whims and personal desires.

And if you are Scottish, Muslim or otherwise not rich, white and male you might have reason to be concerned.

Having weighed it up, without the referendum, we'd not be here.

However, its not just Cameron, he isn't a dictator, the cabinet agreed to the 'vote and its inclusion in the manifesto.

Same applies to May, she did not act alone.

The whole of the Tory party are fucking useless.

BigChocFrenzy · 21/06/2019 22:06

Yes, "grab her by the pussy" wasn't the knock-out we all assumed
The hard right don't care what their idols get up to

But this is Britain, I tell myself ... then I read the Fail comments supporting him

1tisILeClerc · 21/06/2019 22:06

{Tory MP grabbed female protester by neck because he ‘couldn’t hold her by the chest’, says colleague }
What a weird thing to have said.

Shotgun weddings used to be 'a thing' but will we have a shotgun PM, putting Boris in place to fail?

Here's the express....

Shock at the BJ story.

So he stayed in the leadership race just long enough to fuck over Gove. Then creates this little escape route for himself.

BigChocFrenzy · 21/06/2019 22:09

jas You've nailed it:

Brexshit was caused by the Tory Party becoming a toxic institution that poisoned the country

It's the party as a whole, not the leaders it spews up

BigChocFrenzy · 21/06/2019 22:10

Incredible drama - even better than their last leadership contest Grin

RedToothBrush · 21/06/2019 22:10

I don't know if it's deliberate, or if he is so lacking in impulse control that any close scrutiny of him would always be fatal

I think its been said for a while that MI5 have major issues with him. He got rid of this security whilst he was having his affair with Symonds and they got really pissy at him just disappearing because its such a massive security risk.

He's a fucking liability.

But yeah, remainer smear.

People who do not want to believe something, just won't.

If anyone lurking is dating a Tory MP, maybe think again ?

RedToothBrush · 21/06/2019 22:13

BCF, can wait for the next Tory Leadership Contest in late November can you?

The best hope of that is a GE and a decapitation strategy, not because the Tory's magically find a spine / common sense / decency / moral fibre.

Would be very surprised if anti Johnson would get traction. But it's in the Mail so I am very wary. Just a feeling.

That Johnson git is a liar and a charlatan IMV, and I wonder if he would do anything now to get out from under his future poisoned chalice.

He is supposed to be oh so clever underneath the buffoon image. So watch this space I suppose.

But then again the reports of a dispute in the flat could possibly be planted by opponents. Pity they didn't do this before the event. It's not like it would have reduced his mahoosive majority now is it?

All very odd. But I reckon there is more to come like this.

BigChocFrenzy · 21/06/2019 22:15

A messy private life is acceptable even for a PM, but not when it results in police being called

and definitely not when he evades his security minders
and MI5 rate him a security risk - you've reminded me of reading that

1tisILeClerc · 21/06/2019 22:15

Can someone remind me who the strong, focused UK negotiators are that are going to get fabulous deals from the USA, China and Russia?
Don't forget they are going to be battering down the costs and outdoing the rotten EU deals.

BigChocFrenzy · 21/06/2019 22:16

I keep reading that BJ is suppsed to be so clever ....

Where is the evidence for this ?

TatianaLarina · 21/06/2019 22:16

WHY do people want to let off the smarmy toff who caused this bloody Brexshit ?

No-one is letting him off. He was a disaster, it’s just that she was even worse.

Barwell was clear, she was given the option from the get go to take the referendum-as-advisory line. She wanted to deliver Brexit. She was advised to take a middle way. She wanted hard Brexit. She tried to negotiate a deal. She negotiated the wrong one.

She was the mostly politically incompetent PM I have seen in my life time.

RedToothBrush · 21/06/2019 22:16

Lewis Goodall @lewis_goodall
Fortunately there’s a police officer outside Downing Street at all times.

Ouch.

BigChocFrenzy · 21/06/2019 22:18

Um, wouldn't it be funny if BJ pulls out ....

and then suddenly Hunt does too

RedToothBrush · 21/06/2019 22:18

I think we should brace ourselves for Philip Davies being appointed the new minister for Women and Equalities tbh.

Outsomnia · 21/06/2019 22:18

The loser in the contest will be the winner for sure.

Who will that be?

RedToothBrush · 21/06/2019 22:19

With Christopher Chope getting a minor role in the same department.

I keep reading that BJ is suppsed to be so clever ....

He has a degree in bullshitting.

Thats all PPE is. Professional bullshitting.

He is very, very, very good at bullshitting. Very clever at bullshitting.

Unfortunately this isn't terribly helpful when you are actually required to do something with that evil thing known as 'details'.

OP posts:
Outsomnia · 21/06/2019 22:22

My take on it FWIW is that Johnson's ego has been massaged to the hilt now, he knows he is popular (with a certain cohort anyway). So he is happy.

And now might just feck off and leave the mess for someone else.

Is that wishful thinking?

ContinuityError · 21/06/2019 22:24

Um, wouldn't it be funny if BJ pulls out ....

Envy
Bearbehind · 21/06/2019 22:25

That’s exactly what I think outsomnia

He knows he could win but he also knows he doesn’t want to win so, ego boosted, he’s looking for the out.

RedToothBrush · 21/06/2019 22:26

Just a reminder that this article was published in Jan 2018

www.businessinsider.com/boris-johnson-women-gay-people-sexism-bumboys-totty-toby-young-2018-1?r=US&IR=T
Boris Johnson's sexist and homophobic articles about 'hot totty' and 'tank-topped bumboys' revealed

He's not exactly suffered because of it.
