I would have thought would have been the lead story on the bbc news, and in fact would have popped up on breaking news. I can't find it anywhere on there. In fact they're still reporting no deal will happen on Friday in the absence of anything else.
I am so confused, can anyone explain this to me?

Exactly @noblegiraffe . It is the Leavers in Parliament who have stopped Brexit. Because it isn't their perfect idea of Brexit.
The risk to Brexit now is that the DUP will see the Union as more important than Brexit and will take what steps they deem necessary to keep us in.
Which of course still risks us crashing out but, despite some Leavers' No Deal Wet Dreams, there isn't a majority for that anywhere.

While it was a bit foolish not to use the powers available to moderate the flow of immigration there was nothing stopping the UK government applying a 'brake' if it was felt that there was a problem. It's all in the EU 'rules'. Many in the UK were delighted at the prospect of having house repairs and construction by particularly Polish workers. Obviously before the EU really got going but UK tradesmen used to go to Germany for better pay (Auf wiedersehen pet) being a comedy based on this.

There was plenty of racism shown toward Polish and other foreign workers long before the referendum, 2 of my Polish friends left the UK in 2014 to return home because they did not want to bring up their child in England.

Interesting imagery here and there is an issue that they tend to 'back up' and release a foul smell as they fester. Putting a flame to them they tend to explode too.
