I got the impression that TM is desperately hoping that the indicative votes will fail so we can go back to vote for my deal or its no deal/no brexit.

My middle bit voted leave too.

Declaring everything North of say Lincolnshire as 'Scotland' could be good, keeping and wisely rejuvenating Sheffield Manchester, Leeds etc picking up manufacturing capability and so on.

I forget the name of the MP who said it, but whoever he was he was spot on. Theresa May says she's looking for compromise but actually what she after is capitulation.

I used to live in the midlands. I haven't forgotten you.

How about this...the whole of England can declare independence from the UK and request to join Scotland (on the assumption that Scotland is going to be voting for independance any day).

This is my new plan.

We can be the United Lands of Free Wessex and Scotland.

I am pinning my hope to the House of Lords motion that basically said if nothing is agreed, the PM revokes. It would be a fitting end.

I'll remind Westministenders for the name that dh came up for rUK (as it was called during the Indyref) after the EU Referendum, when it was obvious that Scotland was going to be dragged out against its clear will (and contrary to the assertions made during the Indyref campaign to ensure a No vote )

Amendments to voted on tonight as follows (From the Guardian)

John Bercow, the speaker, says he has selected three amendments for the Brexit debate.

1. Labour’s amendment. This calls on the government “to provide sufficient parliamentary time this week for this house to find a majority for a different approach”.

2. Oliver Letwin’s amendment. This calls for Commons business on Wednesday to be set aside for a series of indicative votes. It does not specify what options will be voted on, or how the votes will take place.

3. Dame Margaret Beckett’s amendment. This says that if the UK is seven calendar days from leaving without a deal, the house should be recalled to consider a motion on whether or not MPs approve such a move.
