I'm absolutely exhausted and recovering from some virus, but I'm so wound up I can't switch off.

WhatWouldScoobyDoo · 25/03/2019 22:20

Woo!

pretty that icecream sounds ace.

And a great letter from Harrington. Hope it’s the first of many 🤞

CordeliaEarhart · 25/03/2019 22:20

Yes it does mean something - time has to be made for indicative votes.

And it means that MPs have completely lost faith in the government. They promised time for indicative votes anyway, but MPs felt the need to pass this because they don't trust the government.

CordeliaEarhart · 25/03/2019 22:20

Possibly two more resignations.

Sostenueto · 25/03/2019 22:21

Well just ate a mars bar. I usually put it in fridge and when its hard slice it up and eat a little bit at a time. One bar lasts a couple of days.I have just wolfed the lot down!

Holidayshopping · 25/03/2019 22:21

Are there more significant votes tonight?

EweSurname · 25/03/2019 22:21

Laura Kuenssberg
@bbclaurak
Sounds like Burt and Steve Brine resigned to vote for Letwin - If thats right means PM has lost another three ministers over Brexit

SisterMichael · 25/03/2019 22:21

”Terrible speech from Barclay. Like a rainy February day in human form.”

The only positive thing to come from Brexit for me was discovering Ian Dunt.

Sostenueto · 25/03/2019 22:22

3 ministers resigned Burt Harrington didn't catch third ones name!

NigellasGuest · 25/03/2019 22:22

I don't want to sound like Philomena Cunk, but when ministers resign, where do they go? (Serious question)

Icantreachthepretzels · 25/03/2019 22:22

I'm glad to see they've finally all wised up (or a majority of them have) to the fact that you cannot trust a word Theresa May says and you have to nail everything down.

PinkieTuscadero · 25/03/2019 22:22

Health Minister Steve Brine also to resign.

Have to admit I had never heard of him before.

woman19 · 25/03/2019 22:23

@IanDunt
The govt has basically been put in special measures.

@IanDunt
GET IN.

Night night Smile

tobee · 25/03/2019 22:24

Trying to think of a being in salty water gag for Steve Brine. Failing

Loletta · 25/03/2019 22:24

Anyone else think that maybe, just maybe, Rudd Clark and Gauke are holding off resigning for now to exert influence on TM from within cabinet? They got the juniors to resign.

keepforgettingmyusername · 25/03/2019 22:24

Surely the PM must resign now. I mean she won't. But she really should.

when ministers resign, where do they go?

Nowhere. They are still MPs representing their constituencies but they no longer hold additional responsibilities. They lose some salary (I think).

Littlespaces · 25/03/2019 22:25

Good point Loletta.

NigellasGuest · 25/03/2019 22:25

Ah, thank you. So they can still vote etc., they're not kicked out. (Was wondering why it was good news if remainers resigned).

Am watching turbine civil servant in the box. Any moment I expect them to "do a Stealla Creasy" and start banking their head on a table

Scooby : it is Smile Luscious and dead easy Smile and very calorific Blush

Just what's needed at the moment - especially as we're trying really hard not to drink Wine or Gin during the week. May's vituperous tirade last week meant we failed last week Blush

RHTawneyonabus · 25/03/2019 22:28

I’ve always thought Steve Brine was one of the most coat-tail hanging line-toeing MP there was. Seems like I was wrong. If it’s true.

Or he’s just seen that following May is no longer a career enhancing move....
