Andrea Leadsom has just responded to the petition saying (paraphrasing here) "when it reaches 17+ million names, then I'll listen"

Come on - let's do this 😁

MrPan · 21/03/2019 13:00

May also said she wouldn't call a snap election in 2017.

May also said we would be leaving the EU on 29th March and she would not be seeking an extension.

May is full of shit.

EnlightenmentwasaPassingPhase · 21/03/2019 13:00

Grin not 😬

MrPan · 21/03/2019 13:00

signed.

ZeldaPrincessOfHyrule · 21/03/2019 13:01

Andrea Leadsom makes me rage Angry

MrPan · 21/03/2019 13:01

Loathsome. Just that.

It just proves that the government don't care what we think if just over a quarter of the population have to support something before they will even listen. How many of the population need to support it for the government to actually do something?

As an aside, I'd love for the biggest percentage of revoke supporters to be in an Oxfordshire village.

LarryGreysonsDoor · 21/03/2019 13:05

What is loathsome?

A corrupt campaign or being lied too?
Certainly not people protesting about something that will make them worse off.

Andrea Leadsom should not be in position, I was watching in thr house and she is dismissive, insular, arrogant, and really quite unpleasant.

There will be a new cabinet shortly and I hope they take her out.

Langrish · 21/03/2019 13:10

Nudging 875,000.

GottaGetUp · 21/03/2019 13:12

From the Petitions Committee’s Twitter:

A lot of people have been asking about numbers. Between 80,000 and 100,000 people have been simultaneously viewing the petition to revoke article 50. Nearly 2,000 signatures are being completed every minute.

EnlightenmentwasaPassingPhase · 21/03/2019 13:13

Agreed, Bluntness. Enjoyed watching the Speaker slap her down "resume your seat, Leader of the House" !!

Laska2Meryls · 21/03/2019 13:13

well, by my calculation its still going up by an average of around 1500 a minute Smile .. quite a while until 17m , but shows the strength of feeling.

No deal petition count is about average of 10 a minute

Laska2Meryls · 21/03/2019 13:16

gottagetup , that's interesting and I am sure more accurate mine was just a 'quick and dirty' count over the last five mins, ....

the slower (no deal) one is easier to count!

FlopsyMopsyRabbit · 21/03/2019 13:16

Signed

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 21/03/2019 13:16

Signed it at last, just waiting for the email now

ZeldaPrincessOfHyrule · 21/03/2019 13:16

Finally. Signed. Up to 887,085.

“Agreed, Bluntness. Enjoyed watching the Speaker slap her down "resume your seat, Leader of the House" !!”

Loving Mr Speaker more each day (especially since seeing him going into work in his stripey jumper Grin)

Abra1de · 21/03/2019 13:22

I dislike Bercow and so other Remainers I know. I wish he would shut up.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 21/03/2019 13:25

Hmmm is it broke? I keep getting an error when I try and sign.

HarryDaylight · 21/03/2019 13:27

It won't let me sign either. Very odd.

2boysDad · 21/03/2019 13:27

Well there we go then. We have a target.

Have tried to sign but not getting an email. I suspect this website is getting hammered. Don't think the House of Commons ever expected to have a petition which gets 3000 signatures a minute.

BrigitsBigKnickers · 21/03/2019 13:28

900,000- place your bets for when it will reach 1,000,000!

Colourpencils · 21/03/2019 13:28

Love John Bercow!
