Three of them that I've seen pics of on FB.

Clever advertising.

Oh take a break surfer! It’s banter. It happens in sport. Maybe 3 people will boycott paddy power for a few weeks. But come on! You’re taking this waaaay too seriously. 😂

Whisky2014 · 02/02/2019 11:16

Let’s hope the English boycott PP for ever.
That’ll shut them up.
Oh for goodness sake. Zzzzzzz

Rogueaccountant · 02/02/2019 11:17

What are they trying to say? Irish people hold grudges?

I can’t agree with that.

surferjet · 02/02/2019 11:18

Funny how it’s always just ‘banter’ when people take the piss out of the English.
It’s racism in any other situation.

& yes. I hope everyone in England does boycott them.

Whisky2014 · 02/02/2019 11:19

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

ILoveMaxiBondi · 02/02/2019 11:20

No rogue, it’s a reference to the 800 years of abuse the Irish have suffered at the hands of England.

ILoveMaxiBondi · 02/02/2019 11:21

OK well let us know how that turns out surfer.

Meanwhile, life carries on exactly as before.

surferjet · 02/02/2019 11:21

Oh, so not just ‘banter’ then?

Revenge dressed up as humour.

How nice.

Rogueaccountant · 02/02/2019 11:22

“No rogue, it’s a reference to the 800 years of abuse the Irish have suffered at the hands of England.”

You don’t say!

Apparently “Zzzzzzz” is what I should say now.

Whisky2014 · 02/02/2019 11:24

Oh that's to surfer. Snoozefest. Only out for an argument.
It's sports banter. And there is an advertising body that has to approve this kind of thing. Maybe take it up with them if you're so offended.

ILoveMaxiBondi · 02/02/2019 11:25

Revenge dressed up as humour.

Yes, this is Ireland’s revenge, a billboard. Hmm

You don’t say!

I do, because you didn’t seem to understand it. If you do, why did you ask? Confused

LadyandGent · 02/02/2019 11:27

Surferjet. It's clever advertising, purposely put in English newspapers which would be ones that gamblers buy as they carry the racing pages.

Why?
Because they'll want to beat the bookies. So, they'll purposely go into PP to beat the bastards back into the haystacks they came out of. Win for the bookies. ;)
No fucking racism. Such shite.
As for the Irish side? Irish will also go into the bookies as PP loves Ireland and takes the piss out of England.

Clever advertising.
A bit out there, but fuck it, we're Irish, we'll get away with it.

Don’t worry I will.

Paddy Power have got form for distasteful advertising. Remember their blind football advert?
One of the most complained about adverts ever.
Wankers.

Whisky2014 · 02/02/2019 11:29

Paddypower must be quaking in their boots. Hmm

LadyandGent · 02/02/2019 11:30

Join with me SurferJet - Low lie the fields of Athenry.............

CMON IRELAND!!!

OP posts:
LadyandGent · 02/02/2019 11:30

Paddy Power has a lot of form alright. Usually relating to horses.

OP posts:
ILoveMaxiBondi · 02/02/2019 11:31

You should boycott them surferjet, that’ll teach them.

Rogueaccountant · 02/02/2019 11:32

Yes it’s humour.

It’s not the best joke I ever heard, but then I never properly get sports “humour.”

Tell you what though- it’s brought out the lack of humour in some people!

LadyandGent · 02/02/2019 11:33

My favourite is the passport office haha. English can't stand us and think we're thick and ignorant. Yet, clamouring for Irish passports.

ILoveBondiMaxi.
Surferjet might get a handle on her handling addiction now lol.

OP posts:
LadyandGent · 02/02/2019 11:36

Brexit Logic:

Paddy Power Ad = Disgrace

Breaking Point Poster = Just part of democracy guv'nor

Patriots hurt pride really brings out the snowflake.

surferjet · 02/02/2019 11:38

LadyandGent

You can only get an Irish passport if your parents or grandparents are Irish. So technically, those people are part Irish anyway.

Just thought I’d point that out to you.

MeganBacon · 02/02/2019 11:38

I think this just incites ill feeling as if we've not already got bucket loads of that to deal with over the next years. It's not humour. Also quite short sighted about what a no deal Brexit will do for Ireland, no-one will be laughing in that situation.

surferjet · 02/02/2019 11:39

& I don’t gamble.

I just hope others boycott them.
