Westminstenders: Plan B is Plan A again.

The voting starts around 7pm and is expected to finish up between 8pm and 8.20pm.

May is expected to lose. The question is by how much.

We are then expecting an immediate motion of no confidence in the government by Labour to be put forward.

May is expected to make a speech to calm the markets and then go to Brussels for an utterly pointless visit.

The Labour No Confidence is expected tomorrow afternoon after PMQs. Its expected to fail.

We move no closer to a resolution and ever closer to no deal.

Half the Cabinet want to go into cross party talks. Half the Cabinet don't.

May is apparently insistent that Plan B is Plan A. Which is what you would expect her to tell the house to comply with Grieve IV. Which again is bollocks.

But Bercow could yet refuse to indulge it.

If Plan B is Plan A again, then what's Plan C?

Crisis with a Capital C.

The stalemate grows.

Confidence of the house.

nicoala1 · 15/01/2019 19:41

May will say everything she should have said all along now.

MissMalice · 15/01/2019 19:41

TheElementsSong · 15/01/2019 19:41

If a deal is impossible, and no one wants no deal, then who will finally have the courage to say what the only positive solution is?

BoyMeetsWorld · 15/01/2019 19:42

She knows it's coming so she's trying to keep a hand by doing it herself? Suicide instead of murder???

Apileofballyhoo · 15/01/2019 19:42

Urgent order from 10 Downing St for crayons.

MissMalice · 15/01/2019 19:42

I still spinning at 230. I’d hoped it but I thought she’d scrape 100.

RedToothBrush · 15/01/2019 19:42

Robert Peston @Peston
@theresa_may: "Tonight's vote tells us nothing about what House does support. Nothing about how or even if it will honour the decision of the referendum decision...If official opposition tables no confidence vote under fixed term parliament act government will make time tmrw"

(Echoing what corbyn said BEFORE the vote, which is interesting)

Baiting Corbyn there. Wonder if he’ll put his money where his mouth is.

Whatthefoxgoingon · 15/01/2019 19:43

Fuck. DH guessed defeat by nearly 300 and I laughed at him. He was a lot closer than me!

nicoala1 · 15/01/2019 19:43

Would the Right Hon Members have some dignity instead of behaving like children and shouting and laughing and heckling.

I despair.

MissMalice · 15/01/2019 19:43

Hasn’t the house spent eight days saying what it does support?

Butterymuffin · 15/01/2019 19:43

May denying their strategy is to 'run down the clock'
Will table amendable motion by Monday
British people 'want this settled'

HalloumiGus · 15/01/2019 19:44

I actually admire her grudgingly. She inherited this shit show. I hope David Cameron and Bojo gets what's coming to them. It makes me so angry that Cameron has slunk off into the sunset.

Apileofballyhoo · 15/01/2019 19:44

I love Donald Tusk.

RedToothBrush · 15/01/2019 19:44

Tom Newton Dunn @tnewtondunn
Break: Theresa May calls on Jeremy Corbyn to table a no confidence vote in her own Government.

She throws the gauntlet down to Corbyn, I'm guessing she thinks she will win.

MissMalice · 15/01/2019 19:44

The House of Lords is much more dignified.

Peregrina · 15/01/2019 19:44

Breaking news - deal rejected by 432 to 202 votes.
