Westminstenders: Plan B is Plan A again.

The voting starts around 7pm and is expected to finish up between 8pm and 8.20pm.

May is expected to lose. The question is by how much.

We are then expecting an immediate motion of no confidence in the government by Labour to be put forward.

May is expected to make a speech to calm the markets and then go to Brussels for an utterly pointless visit.

The Labour No Confidence is expected tomorrow afternoon after PMQs. Its expected to fail.

We move no closer to a resolution and ever closer to no deal.

Half the Cabinet want to go into cross party talks. Half the Cabinet don't.

May is apparently insistent that Plan B is Plan A. Which is what you would expect her to tell the house to comply with Grieve IV. Which again is bollocks.

But Bercow could yet refuse to indulge it.

If Plan B is Plan A again, then what's Plan C?

Crisis with a Capital C.

The stalemate grows.

It’s got to be close, buttery.

The teller trying not to laugh was hilarious.

Catching up again, thanks for that dutch MEP link. What a contrast with our politicians. The dutch, adult, direct, this is our position, this is our job, what's yours, negotiate. Professional, you can trust them. UK. Ha. Eye roll is the only possible response.

{MrsR8 yoga rarely helps in my experience. And FGS stay off the mindfulness, which generally focuses one on how shit everything is. HTH, sorry}
Sorry off topic but this was earlier.
Thanks for the info, I thought as much but haven't risked either.
Rather than drinking I seem to have accidentally done a bit of work.

After watching the Dutch MEP again.

HateIsNotGood · 15/01/2019 19:29

Likewise - me too Fennel - as indeed are all of us on MN - otherwise we would be in the Main Tent wouldn't we? No apologies needed.

Butterymuffin · 15/01/2019 19:30

Watching Sky News where's they've just said they had a tip "watch what the second referendum lot do now'

RedToothBrush · 15/01/2019 19:30

Jim Pickard @PickardJE
Here’s the historic yardstick:

Worst-ever defeat for a British government was 1924 when Ramsay Macdonald’s Labour minority government lost by 166 votes....

I might have heard that Butterymuffin if DS would stop talking.

Buteo · 15/01/2019 19:31

Sophie in’t Veld owned Farage on R4 PM a couple of weeks ago. She’s good.

HainaultViaNewburyPark · 15/01/2019 19:31

My former boss drafted the coalition agreement for the current Dutch government. I wish she was in charge of Brexit.

borntobequiet · 15/01/2019 19:31

Popcorn, gin, cats and cake. Please.

Hazardswan · 15/01/2019 19:32

Ahhhh just ahhhhh

bigdayinpolitics · 15/01/2019 19:32

Whopping defeat would be great..

Butterymuffin · 15/01/2019 19:32

Anyone want to guess at the numbers?

TokyoSushi · 15/01/2019 19:32

I don't think it'll be absolutely massive, around 120

borntobequiet · 15/01/2019 19:33

Oh and Wine

RedToothBrush · 15/01/2019 19:33

Robert Peston @Peston
Extraordinary. According to these photos, chairman of Tory backbench 1922 committee, Graham Brady seems to be voting against the PM. If this is right, humiliation for PM will be worse than many feared

TokyoSushi · 15/01/2019 19:33

@RedToothBrush Shock

Butterymuffin · 15/01/2019 19:34

I'm guessing 160

SusanWalker · 15/01/2019 19:34

DS is really into it so no chance of distracting him.
