Westministenders: Strong and Stable Theresa Date with Destiny

WELLLLL

Its just before 2.00am.

So far its the YouGov model all the way. Still a long way to go but, the Cons are not getting the top of their target list and Labour are doing very well in seats they just 'shouldn't be'.

Corbyn is now favourite to take the poison chalice of Brexit, but they may not be the largest party yet.

This is looking right now like 1974 not 1983.

May's potted regardless. I look forward to her resignation speech. Its still entirely possible that our next government is a Tory Minority under another leader.

The LDs are having a rough night so far. They are loosing deposits all over the place as they are squeezed out. But they still might hold the balance of power yet. Though they are pledged not to go into coalition.

Another election in the autumn? Brexit delayed and going soft and squishy?

FFs she's still wittering on about stability.

whatwouldrondo · 09/06/2017 03:25

May doing her speech at Maidenhead, she is wearing a lot of make up?

Stability on repeat but no substance

Badders123 · 09/06/2017 03:25

What an odd speech!!

LemonSalad · 09/06/2017 03:26

Treeza not exactly sounding strong and stable....voice massively shaking!

ClashCityRocker · 09/06/2017 03:26

Farrons kept his seat

RedToothBrush · 09/06/2017 03:27

BBC just revised the CON projection.
318.

Badders123 · 09/06/2017 03:28

So BBC revised tory lead down again to 318 from 322??

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 09/06/2017 03:28

Laura Kuenssberg @bbclaurak
Clearly she is expecting hung parliament, carefully talked about being the 'largest party with the largest number of votes' - not majority

ClashCityRocker · 09/06/2017 03:29

Close for her getting a coalition? One seat in it if she goes dup based on that.

RhythmAndStealth · 09/06/2017 03:29

Ooh. Game on.

mathanxiety · 09/06/2017 03:30

SF will never acknowledge the legitimacy of any border, hard or soft, so we can count that out as a reason to take seats.

RedToothBrush · 09/06/2017 03:30

Paul Nuttall - 3308

OP posts:
ClashCityRocker · 09/06/2017 03:31

Yes, fuck off nuttall!

HashiAsLarry · 09/06/2017 03:31

Hahahahahahaha Nuttalls not even in second place

Badders123 · 09/06/2017 03:31

Ha! Fuck you nuttall

squoosh · 09/06/2017 03:32

The 'period of stability' she talked about doesn't sound as though she expects it to last a particularly long time

prettybird · 09/06/2017 03:32

There is at least one Labour-Conservative council coalition to be announced today (I know of the one in West Lothian). I think there are others also due to be announced. Wonder why Scottish Labour held off announcing this until after the general election? Hmm

mathanxiety · 09/06/2017 03:32

Zeichner wins in Cambridge with a huge majority.

RedToothBrush · 09/06/2017 03:33

I do not want Labour to win. Poison Chalice.

Make the Tories own Brexit. They can't get it through without compromise at this stage.

squoosh · 09/06/2017 03:33

Happy for Farron and happy for Nuttalls of UKIP. Ha!

whatwouldrondo · 09/06/2017 03:34

RedToothBrush · 09/06/2017 03:34

Charmageddon · 09/06/2017 03:36

Wrt to Brexit, is the predicted outcome not actually a better outcome than the previous set-up?

That is, with the Tories in a minority govt, there will have to be proper cross Party consensus & more working together rather than just Tories doing it entirely their way, & Labour & SNP just going against everything the Tories do/propose?

Is it probably the best way for the country to come together again & appease both sides of Remain/Leave (hard brexiters & hard remainers will be disappointed, but broad centre ground will be ok with it)?

RedToothBrush · 09/06/2017 03:37

No noise from Vauxhall.

OMG Carshalton & Wallington HOLD for the LDs.
