Westministenders: Strong and Stable Theresa Date with Destiny

WELLLLL

Its just before 2.00am.

So far its the YouGov model all the way. Still a long way to go but, the Cons are not getting the top of their target list and Labour are doing very well in seats they just 'shouldn't be'.

Corbyn is now favourite to take the poison chalice of Brexit, but they may not be the largest party yet.

This is looking right now like 1974 not 1983.

May's potted regardless. I look forward to her resignation speech. Its still entirely possible that our next government is a Tory Minority under another leader.

The LDs are having a rough night so far. They are loosing deposits all over the place as they are squeezed out. But they still might hold the balance of power yet. Though they are pledged not to go into coalition.

Another election in the autumn? Brexit delayed and going soft and squishy?

Will he get airtime now though? He doesn't have a vote share for that...

Sadly yes. He's so firmly enmeshed in people's perception of Brexit

One wonders what is currently being described as "very clear" by Theresa May.

Sneakily place marking from the loo Grin

RedToothBrush · 09/06/2017 02:15

BTW do you remember many, many months ago when I said that the one thing that might be a challenge to Brexit was the NHS.

Well. That.

The press is spectacularly missing the story. Nearly all the constituencies are showing surprising results and all they want to do is get Watson to dis Corbyn or hail the Farage.

TheColdDoesBotherMeAnyway · 09/06/2017 02:16

Best I'm watching Gower (I'm very close) and thought it would return to Labour but I wasn't thinking thousands - wow Grin

JustAnotherPoster00 · 09/06/2017 02:16

Can I just caution my fellow Labour voters its still early as hell so try not to get to excited yet Flowers

woman12345 · 09/06/2017 02:16

Red, thank you so much for keeping us going. What a night. Hope Peregrina is getting a good result too.

CivQueen · 09/06/2017 02:16

Hell, compared to what I thought I'd be looking at right now this is definitely something to get excited about.

No matter what happens, it isn't the expected Grin

Badders123 · 09/06/2017 02:16

I'm worried about the edges....

InigoTaran · 09/06/2017 02:17

The press are cunts. THIS is reality!

IrenetheQuaint · 09/06/2017 02:17

Looks like public services have trumped Brexit as no 1 priority for many voters.

MangoSplit · 09/06/2017 02:17

Place marking.

mathanxiety · 09/06/2017 02:17

Rupa Huq:
'Ealing Central and Acton was number two on the Tory target list.

'It’s been retained by Labour’s Rupa Huq with an increased majority – and a significant Conservative drop.'

Travelling to Download festival and keeping DP updated via Red (definitely MN poster of the year!) and you all on these threads.

Interesting times but praying SNP don't lose too many, glad Mhairi Black's kept her seat.

Wow Labour! Keep it up Smile
