It is irony to you, I understand that, but you do not see how awful some of your remainers posts are. They are vicious and mocking. I was mocked on the WME thread but of course you do not think those were cruel, because I "deserved" it. This is the pity of people like yourself who act like a pack of wolves, but do not like to read some home truths because it does not fit ideology. No, as you correctly suspect, we don't make decisions like this based on numbers of reports.

If something is particularly upsetting we might take into account that it's offending or upsetting lots of members and delete it. And obviously we moderate with Mumsnetters at the front of our minds, so occasionally it informs a decision like that. Of course, if someone is breaking Talk Guidelines the chances are we WILL get lots of reports on them.

But with the decision on whether or not to ban someone, no. We ban for breaking Talk Guidelines essentially. It's really that simple.

Svetlana. You need to be very careful on how much you divulge as you could well out yourself.

Your clearly care deeply about the women you meet in your work and feel the injustice of their position, but the men in these women's lives are not representative of all men of their culture. Hence all the name calling you are getting. Either way Brexit isn't about these issues but about a far wider perception.

Although you seem to give as good as you get you are right in that there is a pack mentality shown on MN.

Their MO is to pick on a relatively minor part of the post or to invent something that hasn't even been written (you clearly didn't refer to the origin of the terrorists) and repeat it multiple times, ignore your denials, label and libel you to the point you are so annoyed you do say something unwise. The trick is to play them at their own game or just ignore the patent wind ups. Easy

Agree with your post Olympia, I have seen this plenty of times myself on other threads and quite often it's the same small group of posters( I too have also made comment before on the pack mentality) - I choose not to engage as have better things to do.
