There is rape in every country, and DV too but what I am talking about - as all of you well know - is the ingrained behaviour, beliefs and attitudes of some cultures. gender superiority will not give up its throne easily, and definitely not in the 2nd, 3rd or even 4th generations imo.

Well no, because those things are illegal here, and rightly so. Which proves my point that generations of immigration have not successfully turned our law and culture upside down, as you seemed to be implying earlier.

Beliefs-attitudes-behaviour remain within an individual from such a cultural background because they do not see anything wrong with that type of punishment. The fact that it is illegal in the UK in some cases strengthens that belief. In any case, living in the UK does not extinguish reprehensible attitudes; I wish it did.

If you check out some of the women's groups (such as Southall Black Sisters as well as our own Refuge) you will see that beatings of wives, sisters and daughters continues, as do honour killings, FGM, forced marriage. The fact that laws exist does not change behaviour, only modifies it and keeps it under the radar for the most part.

svetlana, your gripe is clearly with Muslim/ Islamic people, which is disgusting to start with, but why is us leaving the EU going to help with that at all?

My gripe is (i) with overpopulation per se wherever it comes from, and (ii) importing hostile attitudes especially towards women.

Southall Black Sisters are an admirable organisation, working to stop those problems you highlighted. It is full of women who completely disprove your theory that all immigrants (and children, and grandchildren) from certain countries are incurably indoctrinated with misogenistic beliefs.

Interesting that Bear has not expressed any disgust about the treatment of women in some of these countries.
To me that means she does not think it is important.
