That's all. Pop over and sit down quietly if you like.

I'm going on the march. I know it won't change anything but it will be reported on the news, here and in Europe. Europeans will see nearly half of people didn't vote for this and don't want it, our own government doesn't even acknowledge our existence.

fakenamefornow · 14/03/2017 22:13

What a fucking mess, and all at our own hand.

Reow · 14/03/2017 22:19

Hi all Sad

AllotmentyPlenty · 14/03/2017 22:21

Am so, so, so very sad. Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad

smashedinductionhob · 14/03/2017 22:21

I'm going back into the melee for a while.

Hope to meet you all again soon.

Will be marching...with loads of wimmin...hugs...songs...and after March boozing. Come and join us. We can be the light through the darkness

Cremolafoam · 14/03/2017 22:58

Oh hello my friends.
I am so fed up with the whole shebang. I can't even listen to local radio because of ranting about The Border. And devolution. Am in NI. Living quietly.

kittytom · 14/03/2017 23:06

Also sad. And I want to hurl something every time anyone says 'The British People'.

averylongtimeago · 14/03/2017 23:09

Room for another one? I have some of soup dragons flapjack here.
A quiet corner is good....

SummerLightning · 14/03/2017 23:11

Joins you. Too early for wine here

I'm going to rest my head on Badders ample bosom and have a big sigh.

That sounds a bit rude, not meant to be.

Tanith · 14/03/2017 23:33

I've had wine. I don't often, and it's made no difference Sad

Did I hear mention of chocolate?

Let me share mine round 🍫

Nope. Still don't feel any better Sad

My current list of teeth-grindingly inane comments include:

"The Will Of The People"
"The Liberal Elite" (as opposed to the Real and obscenely wealthy Elite)
"Brexit Means Brexit"
"Remoaners"

Really, TM, Gove and the Muppets aren't the greatest ambassadors for that Grammar school education they're so keen on, are they?

SummerLightning · 14/03/2017 23:43

I'm fed up of TM saying "things are very clear", "clearly".

Things are far from "clear". Unless you mean "clearly fucked"

TheWoodlander · 15/03/2017 01:33

I'll shuffle in with you all. Can't sleep. Brew

I've been trying to analyse what I'm feeling - first it was shock, on the day of the result I was laughing at all the twitter memes - then denial for a long time. Now I've realised it is just grief. Sad

twofingerstoEverything · 15/03/2017 06:53

I'm marching, too. Have my flag already. It's important to show TM we are here and we are unhappy.

Bananagio · 15/03/2017 07:01

Can I join in? And add snowflake and metropolitan elite to your list tanith. Oh as well as branding everyone who voted Remain as a lefty. Disclaimer, am a lefty but for the first time in my life I find myself wholly in agreeement with friends on the right. Really really not a partisan issue!

Tanith · 15/03/2017 07:43

By all means, Bananagio 😊

"Oh as well as branding everyone who voted Remain as a lefty. "

That is the one that really makes me laugh! Mind you, when you're viewing everything with Breitbart's filter, I suppose everyone else does have a leftish tinge to them. Smile

Even Margaret Thatcher!

Efferlunt · 15/03/2017 07:59

Denial- not just a river but a full blown delusion I'm clinging on to. Still believe this can't and won't happen. Almost everyone I speak to thinks there will be another referendum whatever their views.

smashedinductionhob · 15/03/2017 08:02

Sleep well?

I'm finding my head clearing a bit by being here, by taking a break from my own arguing.

thought I might read a book that reflects the corner.

The Remains of the Day.

sonlypuppyfat · 15/03/2017 08:04

The rest of the world seems to do ok without being in the EU I'm more than happy to be leaving. I've no interest in living in any other country and I can't see why we have to house and educate every other country

smashedinductionhob · 15/03/2017 08:08

shuffles further into corner and continues with book.

stay quiet, corner people.

In this world, silence can be the revolutionary act.

OP posts:
Brokenbiscuit · 15/03/2017 08:15

I'm sad too. As a pp said, I think many people are experiencing a profound sense of loss.

I'm still angry tbh, haven't got past that yet. But I think I'm also going into denial mode, as I've noticed that I'm avoiding news stories about this now. I just don't want to hear it.

I should be marching, probably, but it all feels so futile. I don't believe that TM was ever really in favour of remain.
