That's all. Pop over and sit down quietly if you like.

Summer, It comes in waves I think x

Not sure whether to watch the news. Is there any point?

notaflyingmonkey · 29/03/2017 22:29

Mescal sounds just the ticket, smashed, salut.

Don't put the news on, it's full of cocks.

Deadsouls · 29/03/2017 22:33

I just want to be unreasonable for a second.

Brexit is the most STUPID and POINTLESS, NEEDLESS bloody thing ever.

Okay there, that's better. Sorry if I disturbed anyone in here

SummerLightning · 29/03/2017 22:34

I never watch the news as i can't stand seeing Donald trump or Nigel farage. Also i have to faff around with VPN to watch the British news

smashedinductionhob · 29/03/2017 22:46

I have been reasonable today.

This is because no Winnie the Pooh memes came to my attention.

Totally fair, deadsouls

Tinklebinkle · 29/03/2017 22:59

I'm having wine, on a school night. Today EVERYONE has been twattish to me, literally everyone I have come into contact with. I feel so sad, it has been the worst day. My Ddog has been sick for the third time this week and on checking her I have found a lump, a big one. I bloody love this dog and I'm beyond sad. What a shit day. Bear Wine Sad

SummerLightning · 29/03/2017 23:16

I found ants in the maple syrup. It's a sign. Of something, I don't know what.

SummerLightning · 29/03/2017 23:16

I have been a bit mean to my kids. To be fair, they are being very annoying.

smashedinductionhob · 29/03/2017 23:31

The lump can fuck off

Flowers Tinkle.

My baby is refusing to sleep except on me because she is teething. Second night in a row, and I was up all night with her on Sunday as she had a vomiting bug. Consequently I've not been in a good place at all today.

But wine helped. And chocolate. And ice cream. Basically all the delicious, unhealthy stuff.

Have decided to steer clear of the news for a while. They'll just speculate with no knowledge about what's actually going on.

TheWoodlander · 29/03/2017 23:43

Tinkle, your poor dog. Thanks

My dog's going vets tomorrow - he's to have his ears cleaned under anaesthetic, because they're hideously infected.

I just watched Newsnight, which was not a good idea. They treated the whole thing as a joke, with Goodbye EU cake (although I generally approve of cake) and tea parties (also generally approve of) - but the whole thing just felt wrong to me. Fiddling while Rome burns. I expect that sort of stuff from Twitter, not Newsnight.

I'm also increasingly disconcerted by my affinity with politicians that I spent my Uni years hating (Michael Hesletine, Ken Clarke). This whole thing's messing my head up.

I'm currently witnessing my cats playing in a cardboard box - they are blissfully ignorance of my utter pissed-off-ness.

TheWoodlander · 29/03/2017 23:48

Brexit is the most STUPID and POINTLESS, NEEDLESS bloody thing ever.

Yes. (Most) Brexiteers won't get what they're expecting, I fear. Then they'll look for someone else to blame.

Tinklebinkle · 30/03/2017 00:19

Thanks smashed grouchy woodlander The lump can fuck off, fuck off to the far side of fuck then fuck off some more and leave my ddog alone. Such a complete fuck of a day and now it's over. Sad [amgry]

Tinklebinkle · 30/03/2017 00:19

Typical, bloody emoticon fail. Angry

SummerLightning · 30/03/2017 00:49

Tinkle sounds like a fucker of a day. Poor dog :-(

Here's to tomorrow.

Newsnight sounds infuriating. Who thought that was a good idea? I get it was probably a hard one to do but ffs it's meant to be informative.

Hello smashed

How are you today? I saw your other thread. Not sure how that's going to go.

I find it unbelievable that a nation can go round in circles having the same arguments for so long. It does my head in.

No-one IRL is talking much about it any more. DH and I have shared about 2 sentences about it. (He said "Oh she's signed it then has she, splendid" and I sort of shrugged. I don't want to show I am upset, which is ridiculous)

smashedinductionhob · 30/03/2017 20:02

Hi Summer,

I'm looking at LeaveEU every day.

It's easier than the news because it is more sincere. Journalists just seem Tim be enjoying themselves too much.

It gave me the idea for the other thread.

I am liking the other thread so far.

OP posts:
SummerLightning · 30/03/2017 20:05

Really? Cripes, isn't Leave.EU the proper nutty branch of Leave not the page of the official Leave campaign (dunno if that even exists any more), backed by Farage et al?

The only time I looked at it it was full of total nutters.

smashedinductionhob · 30/03/2017 20:38

Figuring out how other people think is my current therapy.

Might just pop out and see how the other thread is doing.

I couldn't watch the news. Laura Kunsberg was enjoying herself she's bought herself a special shiny Brexit coat, it seems.

OP posts:
SummerLightning · 30/03/2017 20:49

God I hope there are other people who don't agree with me but who don't think like the people on the Leave.EU page. It's awful, lots of sharing of Farage posts and "snowflakes, butt hurt", etc, etc.

That is not for me for getting an alternative viewpoint.

I think perhaps the problem we have is not that we have a massive frothing right wing crazy problem in the UK, but that most people don't care very much either way. They kind of think things will/may get a bit worse/get a bit better, but that not much is really going to change, and things will work out in the end. And people are busy with their own lives and don't have time to worry about this stuff. I don't have time to be honest, but it keeps sneaking in there.

Either that or they wanted change and think that any change is better than nothing.

But now I am getting a bit over analytical and I risk getting my post torn apart so I shall just shut up now.

And you are so right that the media don't help. Unsurprisingly they love it, as it sells papers, ups viewing figures. Though I quite like Laura K. Not seen her coat.

smashedinductionhob · 30/03/2017 21:02

we don't do tearing apart here.

I think we are getting nicer and nicer.
