That's all. Pop over and sit down quietly if you like.

Do you remember, he was shocked, and he thought he would be PM and the very first thing he said was something like

"This does not mean that we are any less European".

The first thing.

And of course it wasn't true but I think he said those words, of all things, because on some level just for a minute he knew what he had done, what he had caused us to lose.

OP posts:
smashedinductionhob · 16/03/2017 21:11

But of course "less" is exactly what we are.

And I think right then he knew that.

Compassion.....

I'd rather you didn't smashed Grin

But I agree with you he knows exactly what he's done. For all the bluster and idiocy he's not daft. I don't think he has much moral fibre though so he probably doesn't care that much.

smashedinductionhob · 16/03/2017 21:20

It was just for a minute -a loss of facade.

I've already posted this on the March thread. I'm posting it here again because the March was discussed earlier and some were feeling disheartened. I hope it will renew the passion and determination to do what we can for our EU friends who feel so betrayed.

Yes, Johnson looked ashen, on June 24th.
Great letter Tanith read it and I'll be there. And I'll be at Stand up to Racism at 11am on Saturday. I am not tall so maybe they won't notice. Grin

smashedinductionhob · 16/03/2017 22:07

Just going to do a bit more well digging then turn in for the night.

Nice day, but the thing is still coming towards us.

He eats the pigeons.

Unusual.

OP posts:
woman12345 · 16/03/2017 22:48

What? How does he catch them? How does he cook them? We have some feckless pigeon parents, in our garden, whose children I've had to ferry to a wild animal hospital for emergency care. I think they've gone on to live successful pigeon lives. Smile Unless they've met your neighbour.Shock

SummerLightning · 16/03/2017 22:50

Fuck me that sounds more hassle than it's worth re the pigeons. Bless him.

SummerLightning · 16/03/2017 22:53

Tanith I read that letter on the other thread. I can't make the march but might share it (the letter) on facebook and see if anyone is thinking of going to the march to see if I can encourage them. I already shared stuff about the march and said I had donated as I couldn't go.

woman12345 · 16/03/2017 22:54

Amazing hospital. Better than NHS. Triage nurses came out to collect them (two bald chicks) and took them off for treatment. In fact, when my time comes..........

SummerLightning · 16/03/2017 22:57

woman in case you misunderstood me I was referring to the killing and eating of the pigeons as being too much hassle rather than the pigeon hospital...

woman12345 · 16/03/2017 23:01

Grin SummerLightning honestly, both sound a bit mad. Pigeon hospital Grin But true story. Only in Britain.....

SummerLightning · 16/03/2017 23:05

Can you imagine plucking and gutting a pigeon all for that little tiny bit of pigeon breast meat. Perhaps it will come to that....like in Blackadder. The Flander's pigeon murderer...

woman12345 · 16/03/2017 23:08

Well mine are pretty fat, I'm not boasting. Free range. Could be OK in a casserole? Maybe it's a plan to get through the next few years?

SummerLightning · 17/03/2017 05:33

Are you boasting about your juicy fat plump breasted pigeons?

Pigeon is quite tasty but having plucked a pheasant and found that too much hassle I can't imagine being arsed with a pigeon. I guess if things get desperate needs must.

woman12345 · 17/03/2017 07:30

Live and let live, though, can't kill them, even feckless ones, especially feckless ones.

Badders123 · 17/03/2017 07:37

Nope.

I'm not peeling any animal to eat 😖

I get them pre peeled!

So, my migraine has finally gone and I back quietly sipping tea

Good morning all

Wrt bojo and goves faces on 24th....it was the only time I smiled that whole day. They looked like they were about to cry.

Mimsy bastard quisling fucks 😡

sorry for potty mouth

Peregrina · 17/03/2017 08:04

They looked like they were about to cry.
They looked like a pair of six year olds who had been caught raiding the biscuit tin.

But this wouldn't have been so bad, if David Cameron had stepped up and said, 'OK there is a move to leave the EU but it's close, so I will organise a cross party commission (or whatever) to examine the best options'. But he didn't, he threw in the towel.

We are made of sterner stuff.

SingaSong12 · 17/03/2017 08:29

Popping in for a few minutes, actually should get myself up. I need quiet. Serves me right for MN at this time. Saw the name of latest Brexit Arms thread (won't repeat) and upset. Tbf it's the same sentiment in lots of newspaper headlines that I also glimpse.

Peregrina · 17/03/2017 08:55

I have hidden the Brexit Arms threads. When I did wander past they were all drinking themselves under the table. Not my type at all.

However, I am surprised (not) - they should not be wasting time drinking now, they should be running up to the North or down to Cornwall to start rebuilding the society that they want, that apparently the EU stopped them from doing. Alternatively, they could try knocking on David Davis's door and offer him help, because he seems to be out of ideas.
