Well here we are, almost 9 months on from the referendum & A50 is finally set to be triggered this month.
We've had petitions, marches, tantrums & tears, from the hardcore remainers desperately trying to stop the will of the people, but they can't.

So let's get the champagne out of the cellar ready & waiting - this is the last Brexit Arms thread so let's celebrate!

I hope next week is when Art.50 is triggered. I did actually think it was going to be triggered on 24 June. I have waited all my life to leave the EU. totally excited the end is in sight and democracy has prevailed.

Svetlana33 · 12/03/2017 21:00

Didn't Juncker say recently that after UK has left EU, he hopes that we will return some time in the future! Machination everywhere.

Anon1234567890 · 12/03/2017 22:22

Wouldn't surprise me if Juncker has a plan. Maybe extend negotiations, stall, give the UK no deal the worst possible deal and hope to force a second vote in the UK to stay in the EU.

MrsPeterDoherty · 13/03/2017 00:00

Fingers crossed

CardinalSin · 13/03/2017 00:30

As a resident of Surrey, I think I can state, quite categorically, that Svetlana (beautiful British name) is talking bollocks.

Bearbehind · 13/03/2017 05:00

Oh oh oh and a knighthood for Nige

And then you wonder why Leavers get tarred with the same racist brush.

It sickens me that TM is actually right. This is just about immigration for so many of you and your perception of that transcends everything else.

InfiniteSheldon · 13/03/2017 06:40

No its about sovereignty for me how dare you call me a racist @Bearbehind you don't know me and your smallminded, smug faux liberal nastiness sinks lower with every bit of name calling. You call me a racist (by linking my comment to a general name calling to make sure you don't get deleted how cowardly) to stifle and shut down any debate, a classic losing tactic. You should walk away from your keyboard, absolutely disgusting behaviour are you Katie Hopkins?

Bearbehind · 13/03/2017 06:50

Wind your neck in infinite. Im not doing anything to close down the debate- you've already made it clear you have no answers to the questions I posed so why would I need to close the debate - you've already done it.

If you want Farage to get a knighthood how can you claim not to be racist. His views are blatantly racist and if you align yourself with him by wanting him to be knighted how can you then claim not to be?

Sovereignty was never lost, even the government White Paper confirmed that so it's not worth playing that card.

Bananagio · 13/03/2017 06:52

smug faux liberal nastiness leading you to suggest are you Katie Hopkins. That well-known leading light of smug liberalism.

Have truly fallen down the rabbit hole.

Bearbehind · 13/03/2017 06:55

The fact Katie Hopkins supports leave seems to have bypassed infinite too

InfiniteSheldon · 13/03/2017 06:59

I am aware of Katies leanings I am likening your behaviour to hers: offensive, judgemental and nasty

Bearbehind · 13/03/2017 07:05

infinite you need to take a look in the mirror 'sweetie'- Your comments to me are always nasty. They have been for months.

Just because you don't like people pointing out that if you want Farage knighted then your views must be racist, doesn't mean the person pointing that out is offensive, judgemental or nasty.

Farage has made a career out of inciting hatred and fear based on race- why else would you want him honoured if you didn't agree with him.

surferjet · 13/03/2017 07:11

This is a celebratory thread! nothing any remainer says will stop us leaving the EU & stop our jubilation 🇬🇧 so let's ignore their mean spirited posts and concentrate on the bigger picture - our freedom! 😀

Looks like surfer, sheldon and David Duke of the Klu Klux Klan are Nigel Farage's biggest fans.

"He begged for a knighthood but was given a white hood"

Enjoy your great leader, outraged non-racists Confused

histinyhandsarefrozen · 13/03/2017 07:32

Of course Nigel should be knighted. Without him, there would be no Brexit. His thirty years of campaigning ultimately won the people over.

InfiniteSheldon · 13/03/2017 07:39

I'm also hoping Anna Soubry is right and we can come out after six to nine months. a layout from the EU coffers to buy us out of our banking holdings would be too hysterical. I have faith that TM is doing the right thing attempting to hold her cards close and the negotiations will ultimately work well for us.

His thirty years of campaigning ultimately won the people over.

but not enough to get elected as an MP.

Alfieisnoisy · 13/03/2017 07:59

I voted Remain because nobody could tell me the consequences of Brexit. I distrusted both camps campaigning and the lies which spewed forth from both was breathtaking.

We STILL do not know the consequences of Brexit but we now need to just get on with it so we can send that £350 million to the NHS...oh wait.

I am now just waiting for A50 to be served and praying that any fallout is not too horrendous.

But we need to get on and do it...we voted to Brexit and once the talking around how we do this is finished then let's go ahead.

Alfieisnoisy · 13/03/2017 08:02

I will be fuming if Nigel Farage is ever given a knighthood. He is a self serving racist with a long history of appalling behaviours and attitudes. He needs to crawl under a rock and die ..."unwept, unhonoured and unsung".

Hideous man in every way.

histinyhandsarefrozen · 13/03/2017 08:14

*His thirty years of campaigning ultimately won the people over.

but not enough to get elected as an MP.*

I don't think that's the important thing. He - and his party - was ultimately a single issue pressure/campaign group that achieved it's aims spectacularly.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 13/03/2017 08:18

I would say the media and decades of anti EU narrative was more effective.

You would also think Farage would be pestering May with his bold vision for post Brexit Britain but hanging with Trump appears to be more important.

InfiniteSheldon · 13/03/2017 08:31

They can give us bill (highly unlikely as they are a Superstate not a petty, aggrieved neighbour) and we can laugh in their face (highly unlikely as again we are a nation not a cheating husband)
