Bear I don't know anyone who thinks immigration per se is a problem and I know a lot of Brexiters on the left and right. Control over immigration is a very different thing. I refer you to a George Galloway Sputnik piece I saw yesterday talking about the issues in Govanhill in Glasgow. Slum landlords are letting out properties at "15 to a room", street crime is terrible, the area is filthy due to overcrowding, suspicions of people trafficking and exploitation. The occupants of these rooms will not be reflected in the statistics on the job market and do not claim benefit because they and those who exploit them work almost exclusively in crime and the black economy. Very left wing big hearted Remain Glasgow is starting to look at the criminal justice system and deportation rather than welfare to deal with street begging.

Serious question howabout - how do you think leaving the EU is going to address the situation you've just described?

howabout, if these people have been trafficked they haven't come through through border control, if they are EU citizens living here and working cash in hand and living 15 to a room they are just as likely to be able to arrive as tourists and go off grid as they are to arrive with FOM.

Unless we start a system of visas with EU countries then there might be a difference, if they are non EU it will still remain the same anyway.
