Where's the landlady? Surfer?
We've been advised of a a lock in and it's reported that the jukebox has been stuck playing Pulp - Common People - all night.

Nicola who?

MangoMoon · 14/11/2016 22:17

It's still surreal to me that Trump is a future president - bizarre!

I know. I catch up with C4 news everyday & just can't believe what I'm seeing half the time. But just seeing all the left wing reporters interviewing Farage ( DT's bestie ) & almost choking is making me laugh.

time4chocolate · 14/11/2016 22:38

Evening everyone Wine - mad busy weekend here too and today not much better either. I had a similar feeling over the weekend as Bored, I am starting to question whether TM has the oomph to go through with it and to wonder what's going on behind the scenes. I cheered myself up this evening by catching up on claig's recent threads - she/he really is a Star.

Changing the subject completely, I was looking forward to catching a good view of the super moon tonight but can't see a blinkin thing behind all the cloud - has anyone been able to see it?

Boredofbrexit · 14/11/2016 22:44

Oh surfer, Mango you kill me. I am half dead already after that John Lewis ad spoof! Craig is great. I remember reading her threads, maybe the GE time, she was getting dogs abuse but not once did she derail or take the bait. I was a bit surprised that she wasn't more involved with the EU threads latterly but I can see now why not.

Haven't seen the moon no, but apparently still massive tomorrow Smile

InformalRoman · 14/11/2016 23:05

Dapplegrey1 Many larger estates are already owned by family companies and trusts, so will be unaffected, and larger estates that are well advised will still be able to create workarounds, such as lifetime gifts. Ironically, it's smaller estates (most likely to be family owned and run at a loss) and family farms that are most at risk if families can't agree within themselves on the division of the estate - these are the estates which are likely to be sold off piecemeal to companies to form large holdings.

InformalRoman · 14/11/2016 23:11

time and surfer I think you might be a bit disappointed with the "super moon" if you get the chance to see it tonight - here it's high in the sky and looks pretty much like it always does (just a bit brighter). Apparently you need to see it when it's low in the sky and close to the horizon for it to appear much bigger than normal.

time4chocolate · 14/11/2016 23:36

Bored - I'm beginning to think yes!!

Informal - thank you for that info, it looks like it's going to be a bit of a damp squib then, unless you just happen to be in the right place at the right time (story of my life really Wink )

MangoMoon · 15/11/2016 01:01

Especially for time4:

Another one.....

"Looking forward to seeing the supermoon but the only window in your house faces the wrong direction? Simply place a tortilla wrap on your window for that authentic supermoon experience."

(Sadly, not my picture or words - shamelessly stolen from FB).

I can see the moon, looks exactly like it usually does!

Craig has threads going again? Yay! Grin

People can't really vote for what they want because its not on offer. If normal politics was working fine you wound not have Trump ,Brexit or alot else to moan about. It's like this for a reason. Its like this because it's been voted for that is how a democracy works. (unless you happen to live in the United Kingdom it now seems).

IamWendy · 15/11/2016 07:14

Oooooh, we have a convert! Unworthy, if love to know what changed your mind?

MangoMoon · 15/11/2016 07:32

Unworthy ShockConfused

Do you mean you've changed from Remain to Leave?!

Boredofbrexit · 15/11/2016 07:35

So how does it feel to realise that what remainers have said all along actually is not project fear, but the truth?

Boredofbrexit · 15/11/2016 07:56

Project Fear that's there's no plan? That is a Remainers confection.

OP posts:
InformalRoman · 15/11/2016 08:07

Of course there's a plan - it's here.
