I just like to keep pointing out the so called socialists do dont have a clean slate National socialists anyone

Erm, I find such comments very curious in a country where nationalism has just won a referendum and the leader is pitching 'a new kind of social conservatism'.

National Socialism was an extreme right wing movement whereas socialism is a left wing movement and the name national socialism was really just that - a name. It was designed to try to appeal to all parts of the political spectrum and draw people in - making it a popularist movement - but in practise National Socialists are not really categorised as socialists because they are on the hard right and they were generally anti-socialist by nature.

If you want to criticise socialism in this way you'd be far better pointing out the excesses of communism under Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin, Ho Chi Minh, Mao or Castro. Plenty of 'bad' socialists there. But instead you decide to pick up on the one bunch who have the name but not the politics to go with it.

I get your point, but that's not a comment that really proves your point. In fact it tends to rather undermine it and make the point to the contrary...

Well not all of them

Breadandwine · 08/11/2016 17:41

Petronius, you've reminded me of your questionnaire earlier, which, strangely, given the depth of feeling by the Leavers on this thread, remains unanswered (unless I'm missed something).

I can answer Q.7:

7. Does the judgement say the UK cannot leave the EU?

No, it does not say that!

But I'm really curious about Q.10:

Why are Laker Airways and the Fire Brigade Union important in this judgement?

I haven't a clue!

As far as I can see, neither appear in the copy of the judgement I've seen!

Smile
vulpeculaveritas · 08/11/2016 17:41

So you don't think it works both ways then?

Your posts are all sweetness and light and not snarky at all?

WinchesterWoman · 08/11/2016 17:43

Oh and stupid, thick, arsehole etc

When I got cross it wasn't to do with your views

jaws5 · 08/11/2016 17:43

ww the only poster who I have seen resorting to swearing and insulting others here has been you.

vulpeculaveritas · 08/11/2016 17:47

Sorry but as I said there may have been some posters calling others thick etc, but that's not as some of the other abuse I've seen coming the other way.

WinchesterWoman · 08/11/2016 17:51

Well what can I say . I know what's true and what isn't.

vulpeculaveritas · 08/11/2016 18:00

Perception, as always is individual.

WinchesterWoman · 08/11/2016 18:01

Jaws that's not true

WinchesterWoman · 08/11/2016 18:05

I don't get the umbrella joke?

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 08/11/2016 18:06

I know what's true and what isn't

Interesting. How do you square that with the lies the Leave campaign sold you and everyone else?

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 08/11/2016 18:09

InformalRoman Grin

Breadandwine · 08/11/2016 18:10

I tried to give up gave up reading WW's posts several days ago - I noticed they seemed to become wilder and more incoherent the later they were posted. I wonder why? Confused

autumnintheair · 08/11/2016 18:20

Yes ^^ I have many times, I didnt have time to go through all that, who does!

time4chocolate · 08/11/2016 18:22

Two personal insults on one page - no more to be said really.

WinchesterWoman · 08/11/2016 18:25

Yes I was fine with it, I think there were more truth and trust issues with remain. And we were very wrong to believe that a majority would mean something to people.

Earth is flat you prove my point. it just doesn't ever stop.

WinchesterWoman · 08/11/2016 18:27

Hi time hi Autumn. Scotland is involved now and applying to the Supreme Court for permission to argue that the Scottish parl should be consulted or be able to block it.

WinchesterWoman · 08/11/2016 18:29

Ha Autumn I just read 'the elites rise up against the masses'

vulpeculaveritas · 08/11/2016 18:42

"I think there were more truth and trust issues with remain"

Remain weren't the one criticised by the national statistics agency for their use of data though were they?

I think leave pretty much lied all the way tbh.

What were the lies on the remain side?

vulpeculaveritas · 08/11/2016 18:45

"And we were very wrong to believe that a majority would mean something to people."

But its a sllight majority, your dear leader said he would be calling for another referendum for the same slight majority the other way.

Yet the leave side want to steamroller all objections because its "the will of the people".

Nah going to have to do better than that WW.

WinchesterWoman · 08/11/2016 18:48

I would have accepted a result the other way. Of course, I prepared myself. A majority is a majority.

WinchesterWoman · 08/11/2016 18:49

And your reaction to a majority is

'Nah'

vulpeculaveritas · 08/11/2016 18:50

You would have , but Farrage said he wouldn't, as a democracy we can go on arguing about it, that's fine. Farrage even admitted that with such a small majority there would be unfinished business.

I also don't believe you would as you believe so passionately in it.
