Do You Think We Should Bring Back The Death Penalty?

I have heard all opinion polls say most people think we should, assuming that's true, do you think we should. Four questions, did you vote leave or remain, do you still think we should leave, do you want the death penalty back and if most people do, do you think we should have it?

I voted remain
I don't think we should leave the EU despite the leave vote.
I don't want a death penalty.
I don't think we should have a death penalty even if that's what most of the electorate do want.

Remainer, against death penalty. Dont believe that complex decisions should be decided by referendum, we have a parliamentary democracy for the very good reason that populism is not a good basis for taking complex decisions.

I have read that there is a good correlation berween voting leave and believing in the death penalty, but I am not sure that it is particularly meaningful - it may be that the real correlation is with age. On most social issues (eg gay marriage) the main predictor of the way people vote is age.

I am against the death penalty, however I do not believe in rehabilitation for violent offenders and paedophiles. My recommendation is life, meaning life, in prison for them.
I would disagree with it even if there was a referendum, but again, there is no point putting stuff to a vote if the vote is going to be ignored, so grudgingly i would accept it.

I'm not so sure about the age thing Misti, I am over 60 but an for gay marriage, against the death penalty and for leave.
I am quite concerned at the 92% for the death penalty in Turkey Red. that's scary.
