Whatwouldrondo - sidebar of shame, you can blame Brexit for a lot of things but a Lynx escaping Dartmoor zoo I think that's pushing it a bit Wink.

TheElementsSong · 13/07/2016 07:57

you don't realise that the Daily Mail were pro Remain, right

Post-fact Brave New Britain strikes again Grin.

papayasareyum · 13/07/2016 08:22

same you can't be brave too Element Grin

papayasareyum · 13/07/2016 08:25

Sheesh; Remoaners, I mean Remainers, are so inexplicably angry.
It's happening folks.
You can set up a thousand facebook pages and petitions but brexit is reality.

TheElementsSong · 13/07/2016 08:34

Pointing out factual errors is angry?

papayasareyum · 13/07/2016 08:35

We're 2 weeks post Brexit.
We simply don't know what will happen in the longterm.
There's a fact for you.

We simply don't know what will happen in the longterm.

But we just know it's going to be awesome. Because Believe. And Faith. And Positive Thinking.

(Serious question though: What exactly is particularly Brave about putting a cross in a box?)

winkywinkola · 13/07/2016 08:39

Brexit is reality.

Democracy has spoken.

Democracy also means we can keep talking about it, evaluating it and making sure we get the best deal for Britain out of this short sighted pig's ear.

Oh and keep vocalising against those disgusting people who are attacking EU residents in the UK.

I am amazed there isn't more shouting about the lies about the NHS and immigration really. Don't leavers care about those or is all that matters is Brexit?

A new era of politics where the electorate is totally unconcerned about dishonesty?

whatwouldrondo · 13/07/2016 08:41

papaya It is all so clear isn't it? It is happening? What exactly? I am sure Theresa May doesn't have a clue either. Perhaps you could explain it to us with refererance to the pro Brexit Daily Fail? 😄

TheElementsSong · 13/07/2016 08:49

Stop smiling ron, apparently Remoaners are angry all the time Grin.

Helmetbymidnight · 13/07/2016 09:02

Pointing out factual errors is angry?

It is now.

Have you seen this article? It's really interesting.

LittleMissBossyBoots · 13/07/2016 09:03

I haven't met any Bregretters, but that's because all the leavers I know are so entrenched and irrational that they'll never regret their vote. Leaving could lead to the end of civilisation and they wouldn't regret it because at least they got to sock it to Cameron/get rid of all the foreigners/restore the empire/fight back against the lizards before armageddon.

TheElementsSong · 13/07/2016 09:18

That's a really good article Helmet!

papayasareyum · 13/07/2016 09:22

Oh ffs, thank god the rest of the world isn't behaving in such a bitter, cringey cringey way.

TheElementsSong · 13/07/2016 09:26

Oh ffs, thank god the rest of the world isn't behaving in such a bitter, cringey cringey way.

Evidence for bitterness please!

whatwouldrondo · 13/07/2016 09:27

I think there is lots of bitter cringey behaviour going on in the world, it is just that we have lost the credibility and therefore the ability to do much about it www.chinadailyasia.com/nation/2016-07/13/content_15461618_2.html

crossroads3 · 13/07/2016 09:29

But we just know it's going to be awesome. Because Believe. And Faith. And Positive Thinking.

Don't forget that we've also finally got our country back.

whatwouldrondo · 13/07/2016 09:29

Though of course just to enlighten readers of the Daily Fail, China is the second largest economy on the planet and it really does have that much influence in the world, and it has said that Brexit just demonstrates that democracy is the enemy of good government........

CaptainBrickbeard · 13/07/2016 09:34

I am astonished that anyone considers it 'cringey' to care about a decision with such profound and far-reaching consequences, that they want to continue to debate important issues, that they are concerned about the shift in political campaigning to the Trump style rhetoric of appealing to emotions and dispensing with facts, that we want to hold our politicians accountable for their promises, that we want a stake in the future of the country and we care about what happens next. It makes me wonder if the people making vacuous analogies to football matches school plays, dismissing others as 'embarrassing' or 'cringey' for being engaged with a seismic change in our political landscape, did these people not realise what they were voting for? Did you think it was all a game and that all that matters is being on the 'winning' side and somehow you now believe that the whole thing is finished - when actually it's barely started - and that we should all forget about it now? You weren't voting in The X Factor, it's not a case of grumpy Remainers trying to steal Boris' Christmas No 1 with our sour grapes, you know. Is actually important, it's gripping, the effects of the whole thing - the way in which the campaigns were conducted as well as the vote itself - it all really matters. Do you actually get that? Because the Leavers who are carping on about bitter Remainers, imagining it's equivalent to a petty disagreement, gloating or expressing unequivocal delight without any concern about the consequences just seem to be incredibly vacant. I find it astonishing.

Devilishpyjamas · 13/07/2016 09:39

Thanks rondo for your reply (re City passport) yesterday - just as I thought.

TheElementsSong · 13/07/2016 09:52

Well said, Captain!

I would add that if there's any cringey behaviour going on, I wouldn't be looking at Remain voters asking questions on an Internet forum.

I'd be looking at our giant headless National chicken impression in which our major political parties descend into petty infighting, while the ringleaders of Leave first admit "Sorry folks, it's all lies and by the way there never was a Plan!" and then run away until none of them are left to carry the can.

whatwouldrondo · 13/07/2016 09:59

Oh shut up Captain and elements stop being so boring and obsessed with facts and the real world, it's bitter and cringey, go back to shopping at Boden, cooking Jamie Oliver recipes and holidaying with Mark Warner so I can enjoy my illusions of superiority and entitlement and comforting stereotypes, prejudices and analogies Wink

whatwouldrondo · 13/07/2016 10:09

Devilish Thanks though one correction we have gone from being fifth largest economy in the world to sixth, the French have pushed ahead of us.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 13/07/2016 10:11

As a 'Remainer' I find you incredibly patronising.
