I don't want another attack on me I already feel battered and bruised from people on here -I was watching Muse 'Uprising'' at Glastonbury, they were bloody fantastic and the lyrics jumped out at me (maybe I am going mad I don't know) but they summed up what I feel about the EU and why I voted how I did. Worth a listen if anyones has a spare five minutes.

no recovery*

Bloody hell Grin

NameChanger22 · 27/06/2016 21:55

Most people in the UK are fed well enough.

A4Document · 27/06/2016 21:57

us poor people voted remain

Not all, by any means.

NameChanger22 · 27/06/2016 21:58

Well they were. Wait for the recession to kick. Are you going to carry on voting migrants, or are you going to accept some responsibility? You were warned that this would happen, but nobody listened.

NameChanger22 · 27/06/2016 21:59

*blaming migrants.

GreenishMe · 27/06/2016 21:59

Most people in the UK are fed well enough.

....translated as "let them eat cake"?

NameChanger22 · 27/06/2016 22:01

There's something wrong with your translator.

GreenishMe · 27/06/2016 22:02

I think you'll find some are fed better than others

GreenishMe · 27/06/2016 22:04

....and I don't think anybody on this thread has blamed migrants.

Your words....not ours

NameChanger22 · 27/06/2016 22:04

I agree, there are huge inequalities and I don't like it either. I'm at the bottom of the pile, of course I don't. But this outcome won't improve that, it will make it worse.

NameChanger22 · 27/06/2016 22:06

Most of the Brexiters that I have spoken to in real life blame migration for their perceived problems - like not getting an immediate doctor's appointment.

MangoMoon · 27/06/2016 22:08

Greenish, there'll no doubt be another govt petition demanding a replay already!

There are loads of funny ones being started now after the daft referendum one.

GreenishMe · 27/06/2016 22:09

But that's your opinion and you're fully entitled to it....but it isn't fact.

We have a different opinion, which we hope is true, but - again - it isn't fact.

Nobodys knows for sure who's going to turn out to be right.....but this animosity isn't going to help anyone.

GreenishMe · 27/06/2016 22:11

Well I'm not signing any petition for a replay Mango....not after that humiliation!

MangoMoon · 27/06/2016 22:12

Most of the Brexiters that I have spoken to in real life blame migration for their perceived problems - like not getting an immediate doctor's appointment.

Blaming migration is not blaming the migrants though.
Two completely different things.

Don't hate the player, hate the game.

MangoMoon · 27/06/2016 22:14

Nor me Greenish, to be fair I'm v happy for Iceland - did you hear the clip of the Icelandic commentator getting massively overexcited in their last game?!

I bet he was bursting blood vessels tonight! Grin

RainYourRottingMyDhaliaBulbs · 27/06/2016 22:14

Mango, odd isnt it, that some people get that difference and yet others twist it into the same thing usually with disparaging comments...

GreenishMe · 27/06/2016 22:14

Namechanger......the percentage of Brexiters you've spoken to is miniscule.

Please don't paint all 17.5 million of us with same brush?

GreenishMe · 27/06/2016 22:19

I bet he was bursting blood vessels tonight

Yes, I bet he was!

Meanwhile, my boys are doing exactly the same in their rooms Grin

Woodhill · 27/06/2016 22:20

I blame successive governments for not listening to the population and knowing what was good for us in regards to migration then rubbishing voters concerns. Gordon Browne's episode with one of his lifelong voters.

It doesn't mean animosity towards the migrants.

MangoMoon · 27/06/2016 22:21

I know!

Another thing that gets spun is if you say 'differences' wrt other EU countries - they always follow up with:
"What did you mean by 'differences'? Do you mean cultural.....?"
No! I meant economical.

and also 'British people' or 'people of Britain' or 'our' is twisted to mean:
'white british' only.

You've got to be on your toes to navigate MN sometimes - to pre-empt all the deliberate misinterpretations.

TriniRedVelvet · 27/06/2016 22:22

England footballers easily confused. They heard we voted leave EU, thought we meant leave Euro2016 and happily obliged. 😂

MangoMoon · 27/06/2016 22:23

Greenish, I'm English, my boys are half Welsh (dad is Welsh) and they were born in Scotland; we live in England.

They have 'decided' that they're Welsh.

They were ecstatic with the Iceland win Sad

MangoMoon · 27/06/2016 22:25

Lol Trini!

Cathaka15 · 27/06/2016 22:27

stay strong.
