Blimey, another woman in the audience tells Izzard that "Nigel is an Englishman, not an immigrant".

Izzard stunned, Establishment's jaws hit the floor, Labour HQ in pieces. This is not supposed to happen under political correctness. This is a people's revolt. The people don't respect Izzard any more, they won't shut up any more, they want to vote out and the Establishment can't stop them.

claig · 09/06/2016 23:49

That was a disaster for the Remain campaign and there wil be bollocking all around for senior BBC officials for misjudging it so much. We all know they are idiots, but the Establishment thought they were the best they had.

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 09/06/2016 23:51

It's a lovely thought the world coming together and working as one for a peaceful future us all holding hands

Everytime an analysis or fact came up that was overwhelmingly supported by reputable sources the Leave side, especially Angela Leadsom, went 'scaremongering', 'fear' 'negative'. They don't like facts. Not unless they are unverified ones lies they make up, that is. Nor expert analysis when it doesn't coincide with their claims. Everything is 'verifiable', but never actually verified. I'm sure Leadsom wasn't cosy with the investment crowd she worked with. You know the ones, which if she were remain would be called her cosy 'vested interests'.

Angela Johnson was p*ss poor. Bluff and Guff. Someone who is purported to be so potentially amazing behind the laddie entertainment. But then again, I am immune to his 'charm'. However, there isn't much behind it. He couldn't even acknowledge how, on record, he wanted so many protections to be scrapped, and a 1000 more at that.

His party have no MP's whatsoever elected from Northern Ireland and one Conservative MP was voted in from the whole of Scotland. So, the gov't isn't at all representative of them and they can't not have them in government by not voting for them.

Angela Rudd was certainly more impressive than she ever was on Question Time. Maybe she should be moving up the food chain. NHS boss Angela Simon Stevens was quoted by leave but remain had to clarify that he stance was that since the governor of the Bank of England believed Brexit would damage the economy, Stevens pointed out the risk to the health service in such a scenario.

Angela Sturgeon was impressive as always. Angela Stuart, Meh.

Have I done all the Angelas?

It was too much back and forth. Too many people just retorting back. Numbers are just churned out, no source or verification a lot of the time. I think they are made up most of the time.

I see Angela Nigel Farage was told, by the Interpol guy, to stop misquoting him. He still gave a false version of what the Interpol guy had said. On live TV. You couldn't trust the light of day from him.

claig · 09/06/2016 23:52

'aww sweet' Smile

Spot on. That is all they have got left and they are dismayed that the people no longer fall for it.

littledrummergirl · 09/06/2016 23:54

Pangurban, you and I have watched two totally different programs this evening.
Remain were trounced in both.

BeJayKayven · 09/06/2016 23:54

Angela Sturgeon was impressive as always
It's Nicola

ToffeeApple1 · 09/06/2016 23:59

Panguran1 I cannot take what you have written seriously as you seem to have named everyone incorrectly as Angela. At least try to get the names right!

shitchef · 10/06/2016 00:00

I think Pangurban is making a point (or else MN is infected with another bug like that $ thing that time) I just don't know what it is and after experiences on another thread I ain't trying to work it out!

LineyReborn · 10/06/2016 00:00

I think it's a joke.

bridgetoc · 10/06/2016 00:08

A terrible night for the remain campaign...... Truly terrible!

HoneyDragon · 10/06/2016 00:16

When Sturgeon got on her damn you Torys rant did she forget she was on a panel with one? I Angela Rudd should possibly have interjected at that point somewhat Grin

LineyReborn · 10/06/2016 00:24

Angela Izzard has a nice ring to it. Angela Dimbleby.

HoneyDragon · 10/06/2016 00:27

Shall we just fuck it and call them all Angela?

Oh look that Angela Goves on the telly. Did you read Angela Osbornes statement? Oh look, shines Angela's all sweaty and orange again.

HoneyDragon · 10/06/2016 00:28

Shiney Angela

Fuck you autoangela

Pangurban1 · 10/06/2016 00:29

Well, it is just that Angela Rudd and Angela Ledsom were both referred to along with Angela Eagle. Now Anicola Sturgeon was mentioned too. I think that was heading for an Angela, but pulled back in time.

Claig you did say Angela Ledsom for PM and Rosesare said 'Angela for MP'. At that stage, it could have been A. Rudd, A. Leadsom or A. Eagle.

Just going with the flow with Johnson and Stuart. All surnames were correct.

As for 'not balanced with no men on the remain side'. That was a joke, right?

The Farage tv falsie was on the one against Cameron. Haven't seen QT yet.

Pangurban1 · 10/06/2016 00:37

Referred to on this thread. Not the tv.

bridgetoc · 10/06/2016 00:40

In their attempt to be totally biased towards the remain campaign, The BBC achieved what I previously thought was truly impossible....... They made that toad Farrage look good! What a shocker of a night for The BBC, and a very damaging one all round for the remain campaign!

claig · 10/06/2016 00:45

'What a shocker of a night for The BBC, and a very damaging one all round for the remain campaign!'

Let's hope there are many similar nights. The BBC should promote everyone involved and continue to do their best to promote Izzard and all the rest of the Establishment's cheerleaders. That way the people will win.

WellErrr · 10/06/2016 07:40

What a night for Remain....!

As an Out I can't help but be a little pleased.....

Millyonthefloss · 10/06/2016 08:08

You can't blame Amber Rudd for looking shifty.

She doesn't believe anything she is saying at the moment. I am actually sorry because I have always respected her until now:

Why do Remain put known Eurosceptics in the spotlight so close to the vote? I am beginning to think that nearly all of them really want out. (With the exception of the few proper Remainers like Hilary Benn) Why else would they be forced to field a comedian on a political debate show?

BritBrit · 10/06/2016 08:42

The remain campaign were terrible in both the ITV debate & even worse on QT, Eddie Izzard was a raving nut he must have got Leave far more votes & the issue I wish Leave would point out more is that all these 'expert' groups have vested EU interests. The IMF get EU funding & also are bailing out Greece, the institute of fiscal affairs remain keep quoting get millions in EU finding around 11% of their entire budget, the OECD have also got over £30 million in EU funding

claig · 10/06/2016 09:02

'Why else would they be forced to field a comedian on a political debate show?'

Because Farage was on. The BBC always do that to counter Farage. They either use Russell Brand or someone else to accuse him of being a bigot in order to disrupt the debate and stop Farage being able to get his ideas across to the public.

WellErrr · 10/06/2016 09:03

I believe that Cameron really wants out.

That's why his arguments have been so laughable. He also wants Boris to be next Conservative leader so it's in his interests to make him look good. And he knows that Boris is more likeable and more likely to get the vote than both of them together.

Might be wrong, but that's been my hunch from the start.

Anyway, I'm still OUT. And if I'd been undecided last night I think I'd definitely be an out now...!

nearlyhellokitty · 10/06/2016 09:58

The rebate is part of the multi-annual framework budget discussions which will need to be renegotiated in 2020, as the budget is set every 7 years. However, the UK has a veto on any attempts to get rid of the rebate.

On another note I quite enjoyed this version of the EU debate:
