Homosexuality in the Classroom.

My daughter is nine. Yesterday she came home from school and said that her teacher had told the class that she was a lesbian. The teacher is about to have one of these civil partnerships and according to my daughter told the class that girls could marry girls and boys could marry boys if they wanted to.It was according to her entirely natural. This seems like corruption to me. I don't want my daughter exposed to this kind of lifestyle.

I am very upset about this and don't know what to do. Am I over reacting? Should the school have warned us that the teacher was going to do this? Do you think I should make a complaint to the school?

Willbreakmybones - what 'antics' has the teacher got up to? Is it proseletysing to make a statement of fact - 'I am marrying a woman and it's legal'?

Hullygully · 25/11/2009 15:04

The teacher in question showed them unsuitable photos of their hen night.

whoisasking · 25/11/2009 15:05

Willbreakmybones' post was so stuffed full of double entendre I actually turned into Benny Hill on reading it and am now chasing a bevy of (NON LESBIAN) women around the office.

Willbreakmybones · 25/11/2009 15:08

To answer your question hullygully, you will find that the public sector in general, not just education, has a far higher percentage of gay/lesbian that the private sector does. I have no official figures to back this up, but am prepared to set fire to myself if I'm proved wrong.

TheCrackFox · 25/11/2009 15:08

You can turn anybody gay buy the purchase of a Judy Garland album. Fact.

I would want parental consent before I allowed DS1 to watch the Wizard of Oz.

TheCrackFox · 25/11/2009 15:09

Anybody got any kindling?

Hullygully · 25/11/2009 15:11

Will break - there is in fact statistical evidence to show that the city in particular is stuffed full of pinstriped bum boys shoving it up each other's jacksies while going to lapdancing clubs as a cover, and also full of hardcore dykes who love a bit of pencil skirt.

I'm afraid I am going to have to ask you to fetch the matches.

whoisasking · 25/11/2009 15:11

Whoa...kindling is sometimes called "faggots" COINCIDENCE? I think not.

I love the "I have no official figures.." bit, it makes things so much more convenient when peddling bullshit.

Hullygully · 25/11/2009 15:12

"Offical figures" are the worst of the lot. Can't keep their knickers on for a moment. First sign of a pink hanky and they're bent over their desks.

I am shocked and saddened by the school experience of my ds (9).

Last year he announced to me that miss X is getting married at Christmas and when she comes back after the New Year we will have to call her mrs Y.

Have these heterosexual teachers no shame? To go revealing these private details in such a blatant fashion! And what shocks me most is that we were given no advance warning of this, no chance to prepare our dcs by having a private talk with them at home first. It's the proselytising tone, you know, that's what gets to me.

What do they know of my attitudes to heterosexual marriage. They can't just assume that everybody will be happy for their dcs to be told about it just because it is...you know...legal.

A teacher's private life should remain just that. Can't they just call her Hey you!?

whoisasking · 25/11/2009 15:14

It's a well known fact that if you work in the public sector you are 94% more likely to be a disgusting pervert than if you work in Wickes.

It's true and not at all made up.

PerArduaAdNauseum · 25/11/2009 15:17

ROFL at Hully

Hullygully · 25/11/2009 15:18

It's also a well known fact that all teachers are paedophiles - why else would they want to be with kids all day? It's all about the PE.

Bramshott · 25/11/2009 15:19

Hully - I don't have the stomach muscles any more to laugh this much !

TheCrackFox · 25/11/2009 15:22

Most teachers (although I have no actual evidence for this) are campaigning for the reintroduction of the cane. They want their work place to a fun and stimulating atmosphere. Caning children is their idea of fun, especially combined with a PE lesson.

It's the dinner ladies you really want to watch out for. Flat shoes and tabards? Say no more, Say no more.

TheCrackFox · 25/11/2009 15:25

Bloody hell Stewie surely there should be some sort of campaign (perhaps the Daily Mail could take this onboard) about the sickening morals evident in most schools.

Hullygully · 25/11/2009 15:25

Air stewards, while not actually in the public sector, are prepared to work awfully hard with the public, crowding into the little toilet with them to give a helping hand. And they have lovely uniforms under which (fact) they are commando.

Darcey1 · 25/11/2009 15:27

Thanks for your comments.Very helpful.

It is for this precise reason that I will not let my children go unaccompanied until they are at least 27yrs old.

Hullygully · 25/11/2009 15:30

Darcey1 - you are so welcome! Come dance up our end of the ballroom, so much more fun!!!!And no nasty unexpected protuberances to butt up against you during "Once twice three times a lady."

The Sun has always taken an equal opportunities view of empowering extremely attractive young ladies with big jugs to take their clothes off. However, they are very militant hardline regarding munters who should not be allowed to work with the public, let alone vulnerable and impressionable young children.

Tidey · 25/11/2009 15:42

If this is a serious post, which I sincerely hope it's not, what exactly were you planning on doing when your DD asked you what 'gay' meant? Because it would have happened anyway, regardless of what she has or hasn't been told at school. Since it's turned into a playground insult meaning anything a bit rubbish she would've needed a proper explanation. Or were you planning on telling her that it was a corrupt lifestyle that she shouldn't think about?

OP, if you are for real, stop being a dick.
