www.schoolcuts.org.uk/#/schools. Use the link then add your post code. This will take you to a website that outlines the loss to your local school and what that equates to if teachers are cut. Some schools will be cutting support staff first others are fundraising.
Share the details of the loss here so we can see how this will affect our children's education. Also if you know what your school is doing to make up the shortfall please post it here.

-£200 per pupil and 2 teachers lost. Ffs we have to get the tories out this time!

balia · 27/04/2017 17:49

£413 per pupil at my DS's school and 5 teachers lost (primary) and £1, 358 and 15 teachers at my DD's secondary.

Why are people voting for this?

-£333 or two teachers for Junior School

  • £497 or 24 teachers Shock for Secondary

How anyone can think of casting a vote for this government is beyond me.

TheFallenMadonna · 27/04/2017 17:53

Secondaries in my area will receive more through the change in funding formula, having received considerably less than other areasy previously. This website still shows a "cut", which is presumably down to projected inflation. The big hit for our schools was the change to National Insurance.

SunnySomer · 27/04/2017 17:55

-£409 per pupil and -5 teachers.
It has a shortfall of £150k for next year and is reducing the number of TAs.
There is a complete disconnect in thinking on the part of the government that I can't fathom. As in, I can't work out how they equate school cuts with the production of an educated workforce for post Brexit Britain.

poisonedbypen · 27/04/2017 17:55

-£483 per pupil or 10 teachers!!Angry

ListenToYourHeart · 27/04/2017 17:56

£717 per a pupil and 14 teachers!

I did see this posted before on mumsnet and signed the petition and wrote to my local mp who is on side and said he will do all he can.

LooksLikeImStuckHere · 27/04/2017 17:59

DS school £158 per pupil.

Where I work is £477 Sad

Confuzzlediddled · 27/04/2017 18:01

At my dt's school its 840 per pupil or 25 teachers, which is appalling!

1nsanityscatching · 27/04/2017 18:01

£612 per pupil equivalent to 20 teachers Shock

JulesJules · 27/04/2017 18:08

Dd1's school is losing nearly £769K Shock
It's rated outstanding on Ofsted and I know the teachers are working flat out on all the changes to GCSEs which are currently being implemented.
I'm shocked.

User2468 · 27/04/2017 18:13

Half a million for one local secondary school.

Wow.

It got worse with every school I searched...

AliceTown · 27/04/2017 18:16

-£659, 31 teachers.

It's an academy chain, and the head of the chain was recently reported to be earning over £200k. Sickening.

Angry
memyselfandaye · 27/04/2017 18:23

£255 per pupil, primary school.

£94600 over the next two years.

-3 teachers

robindeer · 27/04/2017 18:28
  • £202 per pupil in our primary and - £310 per pupil in our secondary. That's the equivalent of 8 teachers. This makes for grim reading.
mrz · 27/04/2017 18:33

Thefallenmadona the website shows the budget in real terms (taking in to account the additional costs imposed on schools by budget changes). When the government say schools are receiving more money they forget to mention things like taxes.

MiladyThesaurus · 27/04/2017 18:37

DS2's school is down two teachers by 2019 apparently. It's expanding by a class per year, and will have 2 more classes than it does now by then.

Budget change down £639 per pupil.
Not got DC at school yet but our local schools are some of the worst affected in the country.
Come on get them out!!

PickAChew · 27/04/2017 18:39

This is a fully subscribed single form entry primary school. They don't have any teachers to spare.

DS1's high school also looks set to be down 2 teachers by 2019, but more per pupil than DS2's school.
