The rolling Football thread for Season '12-13 might as well start off with the same intro as did the original rolling Football thread:

There are quite a lot of football fans on MN, and also loads of football-haters. If we hide here in Dadsnet, none of the detractors will find us. But if they do, they are welcome to come here and moan.

You don?t have to be male to post here, of course. (No-one would say women can?t post in the Dadsnet section, just like no woman would EVER say men aren?t welcome on Mumsnet?)

Footy fans please sign in with

  1. Which team you support.
  2. Which team(s) you loathe.
  3. How you are getting your kids to follow the correct team.
  1. A thought on the season (Premiership/Championship/Champions? League/FA Cup/League Cup/(el clasico?)/(Euro 2012?)

The only time Joe Hart sees a clean sheet is when his mother does the washing

AViewfromtheFridge · 14/11/2012 21:33

That last Ibrahimovic goal...sheesh!

WrathdePan · 17/11/2012 11:39

A happy little refrain to be heard at the Evil Empire:

When I find myself in times of trouble,
Chiquarito scores for me,
Javier Hernadez
Little Pea.

It's been predicted that by 2025 you're going to be no more than six feet away from an ex-Chelsea manager.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 28/11/2012 07:26

I'm still depressed . We are not partying with Marty any more. Shite midfield.

BelfastBloke · 28/11/2012 15:09

Where did you hear that joke, DanFM? Was it on Guardian footy podcast or Arsenal podcast? I heard it, too, and meant to remember it, so I'm glad you reminded me.

You kind of know they'll eventually win, but 3-3 in the first 30 mins at Reading is utterly bonkers. Even by Utd's standards.

TheOriginalPan · 01/12/2012 18:04

sorry, 3-4 after 33 mins......WTF?

BelfastBloke · 03/12/2012 10:03

"Even by Utd's standards"

What can that possibly mean? Are you pretending you're a club that regularly has bizarre results?

No. Utd score a couple of goals, you know what the end result will be.
Its Arsenal where you have no idea at all.

Point completely taken, rather like at the Emira......stop it!
I turn my back for 5 mins (well, 4 months more like) and Swansea are outpassing Arsenal, MU concede more goals than Norwich,........ and Chelsea change their manager....????Smile

DanFmDorking · 05/12/2012 16:06

BelfastBloke I can't remember now, I see these things on my internet travels and repost them here hoping you think that I'm ?clever and witty? rather than I can use ?copy and paste?.

-anyway-
I'm very excited today.
Only two more Chelsea managers till Christmas!

BelfastBloke · 05/12/2012 22:47

I like!

On behalf of the OT Massive, can I thank Arsenal for Mr Robin van Persie? Thank you.

TheOriginalPan · 11/12/2012 20:42

Erm...what is happening to Arsenal? In Arsene you might trust, but the players??

TheOriginalPan · 11/12/2012 22:27

Listened to all of the game. Oh dear.

Party with Marty back on?

KenDoddsDadsDog · 11/12/2012 22:28

We won . It's a party with some stale crisps and flat pop . But a party nonetheless.

TheOriginalPan · 11/12/2012 22:40

Ha! But winning is a habit, KDDDD. Difficult to fathom how the slump came.

TheOriginalPan · 13/12/2012 21:49

Am reading today about Walcott wishing to come to ManU. Is this feasible? Him, vPersie, Nasri, Fabregas, Song. Is there such a large scale leakage of talent in Premiership history?

BelfastBloke · 14/12/2012 05:55

oh FFS

TheOriginalPan · 14/12/2012 11:06

Sorry BB, if this isn't new news - am still catching up.

BelfastBloke · 14/12/2012 11:11

Nah, just pissed off about it all.

OP posts:
Pan · 14/12/2012 11:17

Yep. I would be too.

SomeTiggyPudding · 14/12/2012 19:07

If Walcott wants to have a go at being a striker, he really needs to go to Liverpool. They're going to start getting people out the Kop to have a go soon.

BelfastBloke · 15/12/2012 10:03

Arsenal need effective strikers. Maybe we should've signed Theo Walcott?

OP posts:
Pan · 15/12/2012 14:58

Utd should get to the safety of 40 pts today.
