I thought it was time to move over here from Telly Addicts as we're now discussing Joseph the musical, and not Any Dream Will Do. The other thread was about to get too full anyway.

I wouldnt mind seeing Lewis too actually - I might investigate further...

LyraBelacqua · 12/08/2007 21:05

I'd quite like to see him too but don't feel I can justify going three times.

binklehasflipped · 12/08/2007 21:22

that's what I was thinking too..we are there next Monday with dd and I cant wait!!

I would quite like to see Lewis though..do you think whoever bought those tickets knew that they were for Lewis not Lee? Dont think it had been mentioned until you posted? I think I'd be a bit gutted if I got there and was expecting Lee but then again, they may have already known I suppose. I didnt realise it was 35 pound in the upper circle

LyraBelacqua · 12/08/2007 21:27

It seems a bit unfair not to mention it. If the buyer's not up to date with the news, they might be expecting to see Lee.
Maybe I'll get DP to buy me tickets to see Lewis as a Christmas present, assuming seats are available by then.
We're in the upper circle on Sept 4 and it cost us about £35. The ones right at the back are about £15 i think.

binklehasflipped · 12/08/2007 21:30

I think it's great that he's standing in. He got repeatedly trounced in the viewers vote I know, but he was clearly popular with the judges and I had a sneaky feeling they'd hook him up somewhere along the line with something...

What with all these telephone vote scandals whose to say it was right anyway (although NO DOUBT Lee was right and deserving winner ) but Lewis seemed to get trounced on every week, even when he'd done brilliantly well.

LyraBelacqua · 12/08/2007 21:34

I always said Lewis was the only one of the losers that I would have paid to see as Joseph. I will not be going to see cheesy pub crooner Craig in the touring production. What were they thinking casting him?

binklehasflipped · 12/08/2007 21:36

oh I didnt know they had! No, not good at all..

Berrie · 13/08/2007 08:09

Have a great holiday Lyra. You were in my dream last night by the way...or my version of you anyway, very blonde and petite ...and rather forward if I might say so! Very odd to be dreaming about someone I've never met!

LyraBelacqua · 13/08/2007 20:42

Thanks Berrie.
I have dreams about random people too. Last night I was leaving DP for a bloke from work. He's in his 50s, married, fattish, balding and not remotely fanciable.
I've had a frantic day, shopping for last-minute bits, packing, cleaning the house so we don't have to come home to a tip. DP's been too busy messing about with the boys to be of much help.
I shall miss this thread while I'm away. Have fun while I'm gone. Speak to you all on the 28th-ish.

Byeeeee! Lyralooooo!

oggsfrog · 14/08/2007 16:57

Have a good holiday

Berrie · 14/08/2007 17:02

Oggs! How was your journey back?

binklehasflipped · 14/08/2007 19:20

how are you oggs?

Still up there on cloud 9 ?

I'm off to see it again on Monday, we're driving down on Sunday and going on one of those evening dinner cruises down the thames - anyone been on one of them? I'm wondering if it'll be ok for dd.

She's besides herself about going, really excited. I'm a bit emotional about it really as it means a lot to me that my child will be experiencing something that meant so much to me in my childhood - daft and soppy I know!

I'm wondering if I should take along her little booster seat too, what did you think?

oggsfrog · 14/08/2007 20:29

Journey back wasn't too bad thanks. Had an overnight stop in Manchester with a relative on Sun night and dh came down to collect us yesterday.

Binkle, how old is dd? Mine is a tall 7 and tbh did spend some of the performance stood up (we didn't have any seats behind us)(bloody annoying child beside dd kept sitting on the back of his chair and flipping the seat up and down with his feet ).

The seats were quite narrow and think our booster seat possibly wouldn't have fitted, but would be worth a try...

Still on cloud nine, and spent an embarrassing amount of time on Mum and Dad's computer viewing as many clips as I could find

Have come crashing back to earth though and am cursing my computer. I took me 8 mins to load this thread earlier today. Broadband really is fantastic .

I'm going to try again and set it so that the ads don't appear as I think that's the main reason threads don't load very quickly.

I'm so that you're going again. You must promise to do an extra loud Woo-Woo for me

binklehasflipped · 14/08/2007 21:11

she is five and bit on the small side. I've got a little polystyrene booster seat which should fit the seats and is light so I think I'll take it along.

I'm excited to be going and will be woo-woo-ing extra loudly just to embarrass my dh if nothing else

Considering booking to see Lewis in January too... !!

Berrie · 15/08/2007 08:04

Glad you got back ok Oggs.
Binkle lucky you! I can't wait until mine are old enough to take!

BoingBoing · 15/08/2007 11:54

Hello gang! Back again from strange parts. At least there was a bit of nice weather before autumn kicked in. I even had DS running around the garden starkers with BF's DD and playing with paddling pool and garden hoses. Fab. We need something to laugh at them about in 20 years. It's also another blonde to add to his collection.

Sooo, what's been happening here?

binklehasflipped · 15/08/2007 14:34

not a lot Lyra's on hols

oggsfrog · 15/08/2007 19:25

And I'm sulking because after two weeks of glorious broadband I'm back to my even more poxy than usual 14.4kbps connection

My ogling has been seriously, devstatingly, soul-destroyingly curtailed

Did your friend abstain from alcohol completely??
