I thought it was time to move over here from Telly Addicts as we're now discussing Joseph the musical, and not Any Dream Will Do. The other thread was about to get too full anyway.

I have just now eaten one of those sweety necklaces - given to my dd - i advised her earlier after tea not to eat it as far too sickly and have just scoffed the lot myself. My teeth are fizzing as we speak..

LyraBelacqua · 10/08/2007 21:53

I've just had a handful of Mike and Ike's jelly beans. tut tut.

Berrie · 11/08/2007 08:26

Oh I wasn't critisising Lyra. DS has a nut allergy which rules out sweets like that...we do chocolate instead!

LyraBelacqua · 11/08/2007 19:28

Where is everyone today? I'm at work and there's not much happening.

Berrie · 11/08/2007 20:35

Hellooo!
I've been in Gloucestershire today for a family get together. We went to see the naked gardeners...or rather their garden. It was very nice.

LyraBelacqua · 11/08/2007 20:49

I've been stuck at work while everyone else has been enjoying the glorious weather. And it looks like it's going to rain on DS1's 5th birthday party tomorrow.

Berrie · 11/08/2007 20:53

Oh no...it might not though, they don't always get it right...

Berrie · 11/08/2007 21:00

What are you planning?

LyraBelacqua · 11/08/2007 21:33

We've hired a venue by the river, which has got indoor and outdoor spaces, and an entertainer and we've got to do the food and stuff. He's got 25 children coming. It's cost a bloody fortune and he won't be getting another one like this till he's 10.

Berrie · 11/08/2007 21:46

I'll bet it is sounds lovely though. Hope you have a wonderful time whatever the weather.

LyraBelacqua · 11/08/2007 21:48

Thanks. I'm dreading it to be honest. 25 five-year-olds in one place

Berrie · 11/08/2007 21:56

Piece of piss for me!

LyraBelacqua · 11/08/2007 21:56

How old were your pupils?

Berrie · 11/08/2007 21:57

The old teacher voice comes in handy for all children...even grown up ones sometimes

Berrie · 11/08/2007 21:58

7-11 actually so little infant experience.

Berrie · 11/08/2007 22:01

Right, time for bed where I shall dream of bearded, brown men wearing leopard skin thongs pruning bushes.

LyraBelacqua · 11/08/2007 22:15

Goodnight.

oggsfrog · 11/08/2007 23:12

Berrie · 12/08/2007 08:03

Safe journey home Oggs!

Berrie · 12/08/2007 17:49

How did it go Lyra?
I have a question. When you see these hotel & show deals, have they block booked Joseph and therefore seats might be available?
Also, how come they are so blimmin' cheap?

Are you home yet Oggs?

binklehasflipped · 12/08/2007 18:40

someone is selling 2 joseph tickets in "for sale" if any one is interested.

LyraBelacqua · 12/08/2007 20:51

Berrie, no idea about the hotel and show deals, I guess they must have block booked or they woudn't be able to offer the deals. If you go for one, just make sure you're not getting the worst £15 seats.
The party went really well, it was warm and sunny, not raining as the forecast predicted. 22 children turned up and they all had a fantastic time. it was all over in the blink of an eye and now we've got a mountain of presents from his friends in the dining room. It was a hell of a lot of work for a two-hour party and I am not doing it again next year.
Now I have to turn my mind to our holiday. We have to leave the house at 6.30am on Tuesday so that just leaves tomorrow to organise everything so i won't be on here much.

binklehasflipped · 12/08/2007 20:54

Have a fantastic time Lyra, it'll be lovely I'm sure and even better when you get back cos then it's your turn for Lee!!

Bon Voyage

LyraBelacqua · 12/08/2007 20:58

Thanks Binkle. By the way, those tickets are for one of Lewis's weeks, so no good to us Lee fans.
