I thought it was time to move over here from Telly Addicts as we're now discussing Joseph the musical, and not Any Dream Will Do. The other thread was about to get too full anyway.

I did try to whistle but it's hard to do when you've got a huge grin plastered to your face.

Dd absolutely loved it, although she did primly avert her gaze during said Mrs Potiphar scene, and asked me what had happened to her dress

Oh I so so hope that they film it. I heard people at the sales counter asking for the dvd or cd, then expressing disappointment when they were told it was JD and Donny Osmond and not Lee

oggsfrog · 08/08/2007 23:52

Believe me Lyra, every single inch was scrutinised (even the soles of his feet) and not found wanting

oggsfrog · 08/08/2007 23:55

The binoculars were a godsend. The opera glasses available had nowhere enough magnification.

Dd shrieked with laughter at the snake bits.

Oh god. I need to do it all again. I'm suffering Lee withdrawal

LyraBelacqua · 08/08/2007 23:56

They've got to release the DVD, there's a mountain of money to be made. i'd definitely buy it and I haven't even seen the show yet.

LyraBelacqua · 08/08/2007 23:57

So you took your own high-powered binoculars? I might do the same. DP's got a pair somewhere.

oggsfrog · 08/08/2007 23:58

On the way home last night I was seriously wondering who I could contact to insist that a dvd be done

You're not on first name terms with ALW by any chance are you?

oggsfrog · 09/08/2007 00:00

Yes, I took a small pair of those bird watching types.
I would have taken the bloody big, heavy ones if I thought my arms would have been able to support them for 2 hours

oggsfrog · 09/08/2007 00:01

Has the possibility of a dvd been discussed on the other forum?

LyraBelacqua · 09/08/2007 00:02

Sadly, not even on surname terms with ALW
But given the shedloads of cash they will make from it, a DVD will be along in due course, you mark my words.

oggsfrog · 09/08/2007 00:05

Oh I do hope so.

You're going to love it Lyra. I'm so happy I've seen it and so sad that I've already seen it and don't have it to look forward to....

binklehasflipped · 09/08/2007 00:05

what about these

oggsfrog · 09/08/2007 00:08

We should call our next thread "The Divine Secrets of the Woo-Woo Sisterhood"

oggsfrog · 09/08/2007 00:09

Just the job Binkle. I could have rested them on Mrs Birds Nest's head

oggsfrog · 09/08/2007 00:11

I'm going to have to love you and leave you. I'm knackered
See you tomorrow.
What's happened to Slayer?

binklehasflipped · 09/08/2007 00:12

night oggs, sweet dreams!!

LyraBelacqua · 09/08/2007 00:13

Wow, you'd get every detail with those!
Did you see the trickles of sweat Oggs? iirc you were threatening to lick them off

LyraBelacqua · 09/08/2007 00:14

Oops, x-posted. Night Oggs and Binkle. Where is Slayer?

Berrie · 09/08/2007 09:39

I'm not even going am feeling very left out...
Slayerette was banned by her dh from going on Mumsnet during the holidays as dd or ds (sorry can't remember)is not allowed to watch TV (they are both teachers)but she did say she would pop back didn't she?

LyraBelacqua · 09/08/2007 10:52

Wasn't she only banned during the day? Maybe she's got herself a Real Life

BoingBoing · 09/08/2007 11:44

Or worse. Maybe she's the type that actually LISTENS to her DH?

Right, nearly lunchtime. I'm going to sneak into Smiths and check out Heat. mmmmmmm.

LyraBelacqua · 09/08/2007 12:22

Listens to her DH? Sorry, I don't understand, are you speaking a foreign language?

BoingBoing · 09/08/2007 13:25

I can think of no other explanation. Unless he's got her locked up in the cellar to keep her off the pc for the duration.

Have sneaked a Heat look....mmmmm. I'll buy my copy tomorrow, somewhere anonymous on the M5 as I travel east, I think.

Azure · 09/08/2007 13:38

Saw Joseph matinee yesterday - fab. There was a different narrator, who was very good. Before it began Lewis was standing at the back of the stalls, much to the delight of those who noticed.

BoingBoing · 09/08/2007 13:41

Lucky, lucky Azure! Have you been in a daze ever since?

Azure · 09/08/2007 13:49

Pretty much!
