Tabitha - agree with you about The Doors. The worst film of all time.

SherlockLGJ · 19/09/2005 22:52

Big Fish

Also walked out of Dick Tracey during the interval (it was a very old fashioned Kinema, with bloke playing on his organ half way thro the film) I suddenly realised I would rather be down the pub.

The English Patient.
Should have been called the English Patience, because that's what you need to sit through the umpteen hours of rubbish!

MrsSpoon · 19/09/2005 23:00

Yeah, Big Fish, didn't get that, DH loved it though.

I loved There's Something About Mary, one of the funniest films I've ever seen.

bettythebuilder · 19/09/2005 23:00

Sherlock LGJ- I haven't seen Big Fish but after struggling to even follow the trailer I thought it was not for me.

Love actually is officially the worst film that has ever had a major box office release (when I say officially, I mean according to ME. Insult to the filmgoing public )

Four bloody weddings.

Scenes from a Mall (Woody Allen and Bette Midler shrieking at each other for 2 hours. In a shopping mall).

Dead Ringers, for being psychologically completely horrific. Could NEVER watch again.

Never saw Titanic - rather proud of myself for that!

Girl witha Pearl Earring...... yawn yawn

Groundhog day - same scene 8 times in one film.... STOP!!!

Disagree about Casablanca (finest film of all time), and also really liked Sideways (sorry expat)

princesspeahead · 19/09/2005 23:06

Oooooh - Eyes Wide Shut.
Best way to watch it I reckon

SherlockLGJ · 19/09/2005 23:06

Mulholland Drive

Grease 2 was a travesty. I might have dreamed it, but I'm sure Michelle Pfiefer was in it.

princesspeahead · 19/09/2005 23:09

lockets, will you be my moviebuddy? please?

I can't handle films like Mission Impossible (and sequels), the Matrix etc, don't know if it's because they are terrible or not.

princesspeahead · 19/09/2005 23:10

Now, does anyone here remember a PEACH of a movie called "Xanadu"? Olivia N-J's next big movie after grease. I THINK it was on rollerskates. I remember thinking it was a pile of complete crap even as an impressionable 13 (?) yr old....

bettythebuilder · 19/09/2005 23:11

I found American Beauty a pile of poo, and can't believe the number of people who nominate it as one of their favourite films. It was dull, yet disturbing at the same time.
