He's just been found guilty of historical child sexual offences. I'm so glad that justice has been served for the two victims. His vile wife has also been found guilty in her trial of the facts. So many thought they would both be cleared because of who they are.

I think in this day and age the sexist meek wife in the shadows is quite over done.
Based on what was shown to be true at her trial and elements that came out of Jefferey’s it’s clear she was absolutely aware of many elements for decades. She had many opportunities to stop her husband’s abuse, she was complicit in rail roading one of the accusers with the help of the church years later and she has continued the abuse towards the victims by perpetuating the lie that it was all made up. Her behaviour has been a slap in the face to the defendants and we should not allow her to get off so lightly with the poor woman in the shadows trope.

Agree the meek wife is over in the modern day - think this will be a shock for those cloistered into church before everything else circles who have been trying to live in a past that never was.

You're right , the holier than thou types are often the ones doing the worst things. I would say he is a right creep. Although through the years I was expecting him to come out of the closet tbh. He always had a 'poor me' attitude. And all his affairs, ha.who in their right mind would find him attractive. Gormless freak.

I agree - I am a person of faith, as were my parents, and I was very much brought up with the idea that we express our faith through social justice actions as much (if not more) as we do through attending church. The absolutely wonderful priest who baptised my son said exactly what you’re saying - “these priests who preach fire and brimstone - they are the very ones…”

I'm surprised by anyone saying he doesn't seem the type - overly religious, his strong political stances & all indications are that his very rigid on his opinions with a pompous self believe. Vibes of "his way or no way", charging porn channels to his hotel room, numberous affairs etc.

His wife saying it was a "massive shock" to see him alone in the room with one of the victims but "she wasn't in the room, only the doorway".

Ffs, wimp of a woman, and I've no doubt she could have stopped it sooner if she reported her "massive shock".

She knew and the trial of facts is an insult to the victims. She didn't give much consideration to their mental health, when she turned a blind eye.

I do hope the victims get some sense of justice from the conviction. Posssibly not, given how they suffered, but I'd still like to think it might help knowing they were believe. They are the only important people here - him & his wife are horrific people.

Sam McBride on Nolan this morning alluded to more victims although he was not able to divulge further. It sounded like they were working on a new story - there could be more.

There is a BBC investigation due out at 9pm on Friday which will have more revelations.

Side note, will the name Jeffery fall out of existence now?
Donaldson, Epstein, Dahmer…

Don’t forget Jeff wright from ballymena who is building the super church and caused Wrightbus to go under leaving thousands of people out of work coz Wrightbus donated millions to his church.

I have a fair idea some of what’s going to come out. It won’t be news to a lot of people in Northern Ireland.

Why did Wrightbus donate the money if it was going to bankrupt them?

I saw it on Tattle at the time. The whole story about how it all came out too. At least one of the victim's was left with internal issues.

Right!
I thought they would have aired it across the board considering this story was fairly well picked up on mainland news too.

Yes a lot of political commentators, reporters and politicians alluding to more information coming out about his deviance though some saying it wasn’t necessarily illegal just immoral.

WeAintNoArgentina · Yesterday 08:06

Don’t forget his “pay per view” movies in hotels

I was actually asking, can you tell me the answer?

Wonder what the story is about him and a 19 year old girl in 2021? Belfast Telegraph this morning, but yet another paywalled article. He would have been 58 then. Nasty creep.

If you sign up for press reader via your library and search for the Belfast telegraph, it’s on the front page of the beltel online there and a couple of pages inside. The gist of it is that senior duo figures knew that he had made a pest of himself to a 19 year old and didn’t back off when told to and senior dup figures knew and continued to support him.

Has there ever been a reason given as to why he took the money from his company and put it into his church instead? I remember the story but wasn't sure what was in it for him.

Some of the religious commentary from the likes of Poots in the last 24 hours has been pretty florid, yet still no condemnation from the DUP or TUV of the pastors who acted as intermediaries for Donaldson when he was hoping to repent, but didn't report him.

I thought it would have been shown on all the different bbc regional channels. I wonder if you could catch it on the player?

It must be a strange world for Jeffrey, prison. Having been on top of the world a few years ago mingling with royalty. Now solitary confinement. Ha.
