He's just been found guilty of historical child sexual offences. I'm so glad that justice has been served for the two victims. His vile wife has also been found guilty in her trial of the facts. So many thought they would both be cleared because of who they are.

He's just been sentenced. 15 years. Hopefully he'll rot in there.

palran · 15/10/2026 12:12

And the first thing he is going to do is appeal it.

I don't think it's long enough myself. He destroyed the lives of his victims. With time already served and the usual 15 years means out before that with remission, he'll be out before we know it.

Disgusting man (and wife it has to be said).

Walkerzoo · 15/10/2026 12:34

I bet he is in a soft cell. Definitely not long enough and the wife should have had a proper trial.

hellomylov3 · 15/10/2026 12:42

So unfair that the wife 'got away' with it as such. Horrible woman. I wonder if her mental health circumstances change (ie someone sees through them) will she also be put on trial?

Fingers crossed she will.
I wonder how the community she lives in treat her ?

Donaldson's house is up for sale. Hope the legal bills are high for both of them . www.propertypal.com/42-dublinhill-road-dromore/1123929

As an outcast I've heard. Although her sister still obviously keeps in touch with her if they were seen at Cranfield together. As a pp said though there are a high number of peados down that direction so maybe they thought they'd be OK. She must spend a lot of time in the mental health unit though. Just read the victims statements. How evil was she , the two young girls told her about the abuse and she just ignored it. Also she saw some form of the abuse taking place and again did nothing 😈 May the two of them rot in hell.

Her sister's husband was done for CSA offences too.

He’s continuing to be held in the medical wing which is cosier that gen pop. He will prob be moved to GB prison.

Craftysue · 15/10/2026 16:36

It doesn't seem a long sentence for what he did - I hope the young women feel that they have had some justice. It does seem that his wife knew exactly what was going on - I don't know how she sleeps at night

GoodEveningDennis · 15/10/2026 17:15

It can’t be right that she’s receiving no punishment at all. How does that even work? Surely it affects the mental health of many criminals when they get caught, is the answer to just let them off?

AInightingale · 15/10/2026 17:50

The victims have now spoken out though they are still anonymous of course.

The person in court the other day who posted a reel with 'potentially identifying information' on SM (she took the post down after 90 minutes) was given a custodial sentence, which is more than ED will ever serve. Seemed very harsh. It was an appalling thing to do, but when you consider that men caught with child abuse images are walking free with suspended sentences, you wonder at the logic of some of these decisions.

Walkerzoo · 15/10/2026 18:24

I listened to one of the victims. Was in tears.

And he will be out in 7. Disgusting

palran · 15/10/2026 18:26

Apparently his sentence falls under the 50% remission rule, so he'll be out in 7.5 years, less time already served. WTF?

MadeForThis · 15/10/2026 19:57

Hopefully his fall from grace and his expulsion from the Orange Order will hit him hard. He will be out by the time he is 70.

He should have been given a much stiffer sentence to take account of this. I bet he's laughing his head off.

Donaldson to serve half of rape, sexual assault sentence

Former DUP leader Jeffrey Donaldson has been given a 15-year sentence for rape and sexual assault but will only serve seven and a half years due to a change in the law in 2008.

I sincerely hope that neither he nor Eleanor are still drawing down his bloody HOC pension. Has that been mentioned anywhere?

MadeForThis · 16/10/2026 10:49

They have claimed hundreds of thousands in expenses and redundancy payouts since he was arrested.

FFS.

hellomylov3 · 16/10/2026 11:07

I heard that they had to sell their home to cover legal costs on RTE news last night. Ha. No more cushy life.

AInightingale · 16/10/2026 11:16

I wonder if they'll shift the house for the asking price? Lot of people wouldn't appreciate the notoriety.

Many wouldn't care - if the price is right. It's a very well maintained house in what looks like a lovely area, not too far from Belfast either. Not sure if it's an enclave of a certain religion/persuasion though!

hellomylov3 · 16/10/2026 12:48

Just saw it, Belfast live have an article on it from end of Sept, stating that it's his home. So it's still on the market.
