It was warm enough here today to go out without a coat but with a warm jersey. Im not sure that's the style you want?
I have a knitted dress which is handy under a jacket .

Carriemac · 02/03/2026 23:00

I think I’ll pack three options and decide on the day .

Thanks @Carriemac - your fadas are arseways 😆

I’d wear a heavy dress and tights because it can be nippy these days.

deeahgwitch · 02/03/2026 23:08

Thank you for the new thread @Carriemac💐

Táim anseo!

I would dress for winter. It's still very nippy. I wouldn't be happy if I'm cold.

We had snow on my dd's confirmation in late March years ago. It was very unexpected!

eggandonion · 03/03/2026 08:21

It could be lovely though...we were in Wexford this time last year and it was very mild!

deeahgwitch · 03/03/2026 09:56

i am going to be very bold now -
Have you heard of a thing called a coat ?
You can wear it over your glamorous gúna to keep warm in the church. Then take it off at the celebration.
I haven’t bothered with tights a few days in the past week. Slapped on the fake tan. It was 14 degrees a couple of days ago in Dublin.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 03/03/2026 10:35

Go raibh maith agat for the new thread @Carriemac
I'm no help on the outfit, sorry, dressing nicely in the sort of weather we've been having lately sends me into a panic! It's lovely today but very cold.

Yeah but only have winter coats and the guns is wedding/ springlike
SILs family are super fashionable fake tan and heels types and they will not be in winter coats

On Style and Beauty someone would suggest a pashmina or bolero and the fashionistas get cross. So that's not the way forward.
Shops run by Eastern European ladies with big hair have lots of seasonal type jackets. Our local one has Easter pastels just now...I think they have overlooked St Patrick's Day.

JaneJeffer · 03/03/2026 19:17

The moon looks amazing tonight. Impossible to get a decent photo with my phone.

JaneJeffer · 14/03/2026 14:04

Has Catherine Connolly not got a green coat?

eggandonion · 14/03/2026 14:21

Princess of Wales has several green coats. They are about the same size. Perhaps she might sell one?

JaneJeffer · 14/03/2026 14:33

😂 Kate wouldn’t show up at a rugby match wearing the colour of the opposition

She needs some styling, she never looks polished befitting her role.

eggandonion · 14/03/2026 15:23

Maybe she has some lucky coats? She needs her teeth checked over. They look neglected .

She certainly wouldn’t. She’ll be in green on St Patrick’s Day. ☘️

Delighted for Jessie Buckley and her Oscar win.
And Ireland won the Triple Crown.
A bit of good news at last.

FuzzyCaoraDhubh · 16/03/2026 08:19

Excellent news! 🌟

Taytocrisps · 16/03/2026 08:31

Yes, congrats. to Jessie Buckley and also to Richard Baneham who won his third Oscar for Visual Effects.
