Anyone here from NI? Did you watch Kellie? If so, how? We have BT where they have the Rte coverage blocked. Bbc weren't showing Kellie's fight...couldn't watch rte player live either..raging. it's a disgrace 😡

Oh wow, my nerves! The scoring system has gone back to judges' perceptions - for a while it was automatically scored on successful punches.

Daina Moorehouse was, by all accounts (and the RTE boxing pundits are very fair, they've agreed with some decisions that went against Irish boxers) totally robbed against a French boxer.
So it wasn't clear till the announcement was made that Kellie would get her deserved gold. What a ⭐champion!⭐

BTW the boxers wear either red or blue, they don't wear national colours, so the judges judge Red v Blue

The taekwondo seems to have the red and blue thing as well. I don't get why? The judges still know what country they're from anyway!

@Happiestwhen that explains why they were watching RTÉ in Armagh when they went there for a chat to another boxer (can't think of his name) much to the surprise of Joanne Cantwell seeing herself on screen!

I feel guilty about all the Irish Olympians I didn't know were there, or even that their sports existed
There have been Irish cycling teams in action, about which I know nothing, and currently there an Irish competitor taking part in some martial arts sport that consists mostly of standing on one leg and kicking with the other one - I just turned the telly on, I'm not even sure what it's called.

So c'mon whoever you are, whatever you are doing, you're an Olympian wearing the Irish flag, so we're proud of you!

We went to the rowing and roared on Paul and Fintan, and were sitting beside the parents of one of the Greeks who got bronze, who were adorable and crying so loudly with pride they nearly drowned out everything else.

It's taekwondo, and it's Jack Woolley, apologies to the taekwondo community for not knowing that, and that we are competing in taekwondo in the Olympics!
