But then she ended up with a hob on her island, anyway…

I thought the interior was gorgeous, but the new bit at the side came out far too far in front, it was really jarring. They seem like a lovely family, though.

Their son seems like a lovely lad.

The husband seemed very chill about the MIL moving in

I'd say he has to very easygoing...

That was an awful lot of money to spend

Everything is so bloody dear these days.

It was on such a small site. And with nothing particularly mindblowing to show for it. I liked that she was so attached to the house and area though, she mentioned being able to see the young fella out on the green etc and that set up is priceless tbh. When my daughter was small we were in apartments with no space for her to play, and it sucked! Moved to current home overlooking green and it's brought lots of new friends for her and independence that she wouldn't have had in the apartments.

I hope they enjoy it...being happy with the location made it worth spending on.

Nooooo! It was SoCoDu on steroids. With morbles in her mouth! I've met my fair share of posh south dubs but nobody sounded quite like that. My H is south Dub (middle class suburb) but he's old enough to have missed the makey uppy accent, he just sounds proper dub. And i love him for it 😍

I don’t think I noticed her accent was any weirder than ‘Someone used to running surgeries suddenly finding herself being filmed for a project where she’s not the authority, and she’s got Dermot pontificating about worktops, and is a bit self-conscious’?

Not as weird as Rachel Allen, whose accent I find baffling.

I really found her accent to be odd!,altho i seem to be alone in that. Perhaps it's my relocation to the bog, i've lost the 'ear' 😂

I loved that episode, definitely one of my favourites, they were so emotional about it all, I had a tear in my own eye a few times. While they had a huge budget they still came across as though they felt really lucky.

I loved everything about it, the front, the back and the interior. We didn't see a wide shot of how it looked in the neighbourhood, I imagine it did look a bit odd and out of place as a Semi-D, but once they closed their front door it was certainly their dream home in a location they absolutely love.

Don’t listen to me, I come from somewhere with a universally-mocked accent…

Speaking of put on accents there was a story about a bishop on either the Nuacht or TG4 yesterday, I wasn't really paying attention but they were speaking as Gaeilge to his parishioners and one of them switched to English mid interview with the poshest accent since Kate Middleton. I found it very amusing.

Now what part of the world has a universally mocked accent 🧐🤔

Ok, maybe not universally, but no one’s going to put my mixture of wesht Cork and Cork inner city accents any where near the top of a Prestige Accent list!

I have no accent! Used to have a dub one, but it's gone now. It's 'generic irish' now..

I live really near the house, I'm going to drive around there for a snoop this week...
