Personally I think a professional rugby role for them is unsustainable. Clubs are constantly training up young players and may even have junior academies etc. not to talk of young fans and female fans etc.

With all that going on how can you put men like that on the pitch? I certainly would not send my kids to a game where they were playing. Or have it on in the house.
